Another batch of Sotto's archive sold on comics.ha.com. Concepts of the Train Station, Arboretum, fountain in front of Plaza Gardens and, it seems (not sure), the interior of Plaza Gardens?

📕 The MSUSA book is finally out! Get it FREE on mainstory.fr (available in FR & EN) - Experiences based on Disneyland Paris. Yep, it’s a bit messy 👨🏻💻
Other artwork from Eddie Sotto's archive was sold in early September on comics.ha.com. A bit disappointed not to have seen that. Here's some artwork credited to him, but I'm pretty sure some it was also made by Ryman. You can spot the Elevated train, the arcades here
I'm considering a V2 of my MSUSA book, but not just for the sake of it. I feel that the story could still be improved. So, if you worked on the project, closely or from afar, and have something to share, I'd love to hear from you. DMs open, or email on mainstory.fr
I recently spoke with Jeff Burke about Frontierland, and he admitted he doesn't have many construction photos, and he would love to see more. If you have any (personal ones preferably) or know someone who does, feel free to share! :)
A month ago, we gathered as enthusiasts to celebrate Eddie Sotto's vision through a guided tour. That journey is now available online, yours to explore at your own pace. Link: www.mainstory.fr/en/guide Thanks again to everyone who joined us for this tribute.
Reminiscences of Eddie Sotto's Tribute. Thanks everyone for your trust, and for participating with such enthusiasm in this gathering.
Probably the first time (thanks to InsidEars) we can finally see this artwork of MS Motors by Dan Goozée in such quality.
It’s time to suit up and celebrate Eddie’s vision on his birthday #HBSotto! Also, thinking of those close to him.
The full kit for the tribute to Eddie Sotto is now complete. I couldn’t do more in such a short time, but I believe I’ve put together something thoughtful and complete, with careful attention to detail. I hope you enjoy it!
We may never know for sure, but it is quite possible that the rear façade of Disney Clothiers at DLP was inspired by the Carson House, also known as the Pink Lady.

We often forget that WDW and EDL (DLP) were almost exact copies of each other. If we compare Flower Street in France and the former West Center Street in Orlando, only the buildings at the far end were changed to accommodate the arcades.
One moment that stayed with me after #DisneylandHandcrafted is Walt explaining his view on money, a vision still carried on by his great-niece and one some should take inspiration from.

As I am not very active on Bluesky, I did not share this here, however we have launched a poll on *Instagram* and *Twitter* to see whether people would be interested in gathering at DLP on Eddie’s birthday to honor his memory and the legacy he left behind.
Although Eddie was mostly known for his work on Main Street, U.S.A. at @disneylandparis, it was not always easy for him to accept that position. First, because he was unable to realize the #1920s version he had envisioned, and then because he was considered by some to be one of …
After several designs were presented for the Festival Disney competition, the execs had to vote. Eisner raised his hand for Gehry. Someone said, “Well, I guess it’s unanimous.” And that’s how Gehry got the job. Stories like this are why we work to preserve Euro Disney’s legacy
Just discovered this architectural gem, The J.D. McDonald House. More on : rynersonobrien.blogspot.com
Moreover, we discovered many attractions that were considered for DLP. Frontierland ended up being the land with the fewest changes, while Discoveryland was the most modified. And the Matterhorn was planned to replace the water tower?! 😱
From Eddie Sotto, the first proposal for Euro Disneyland from April 1986. “This plan depicting the ‘Roaring 20's Main Street’ idea. We all had BIG dreams back then! Elevated Trains! Speakeasies! Theaters!” It was not to be.
Having a small passion for models, I couldn't resist sharing with you this version created by the Ghery firm for the late Disney Festival

Does anyone remember the benches around Lake Disney (formerly Lake Buena Vista)? I think I saw a post about them, but I can't find it anymore.
Story in Four Acts: - From Tom Morris's imagination (inspired by various sources, notably a column in the Chapel of Saint-Séverin) - To the foundation being laid - To the addition of details - Leading to the final result The Sleeping Beauty Gallery is truly the cherry on top, a real gem.
I really like the idea that DLP used to create decorations without always relying on their IP, like they did for Christmas 1995. It reminds me a bit of Nina Rae Vaughn's concept art, where she envisioned Christmas decorations connected to the surrounding lands.
Over the years, Main Street Station at DLP has transformed with different decorations and themes, especially for Christmas and Halloween. Let’s launch #DLPStationThenNow, share your photos and take a trip down memory lane! This might be the very first decoration, before the park officially opened!
In the end, there's a good chance this project will actually happen… 👀
It's interesting that a 'Meet Mickey' meet-and-greet was considered right from the opening, according to these plans. This was before the idea of respecting Fantasyland's architecture. I wonder where it was supposed to be.

The construction of the castle, and maybe some of @tomkmorris.bsky.social's former colleagues? (Claude Tissier, Sheila Steuermann, Reggie Jarrett, June DiRienzo Fisher, Karine Neveu, Russel Neff, Jean-Michel Castagne, Sophie Chermazon and Neil).
