I have a question for the BlueSky friends and family...There is a student in special education that will blatantly tell his teachers (me included) that all of his behavior is covered by his IEP (ADHD diagnosis) therefore any discipline referral does not count because he will always be back to class.

I need an honest opinion.....A friend of mine is a teacher with 15 out of 20 students in her class having IEPs. I told her she should have additional support in the classroom because that is a high number of students needing specialized services. (Continued)

I’m looking for recommendations for a professional/ organization that helps plan & coordinate professional development programs, including organizing logistics & supporting sessions offered in person/online. If you know someone experienced in this type of work, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Schools see patterns forming long before families do. When concerns aren’t shared early, support gets delayed. Proactive conversations create partnership, not panic. What early indicators should schools communicate before problems escalate?

“We didn’t want to alarm you” is common—but information empowers. Withholding patterns doesn’t reduce anxiety; it postpones preparation. Families deserve trends, not just outcomes. What would you want to know if it were your child?

Here’s something parents are rarely told: In some situations, schools know exactly what trajectory a student is on—and still choose not to say it out loud. Information is filtered, delayed, or minimized until consequences become unavoidable.
