I'm not overreacting when I talk about how much sonic fans glaze the 3rd movie. The first few months online after the movie came out was people posting the scene with Ivo and Gerald dancing and talking about how it "goes hard". What the fuck are y'all talking about? That dance number was stupid.

Obviously, it isn't the worst video game adaptation I've seen, but the way people glaze this movie makes me hate it more. The choices the writers make for this classic story frustrates me to hell

The main backlash I've seen against Film theory's recent digital circus video is about how they fell off since MatPat left, but I feel like the theory channels always made not well thought out videos since MatPat Started Game Theory. The problem is people took his stuff way too seriously.

the consensus is that matpat and fnaf had a huge hand in the decline in media literacy and i'd agree with that, they definitely contributed to people treating everything like some mystery instead of actually engaging with the themes and such

Jax is obviously trans. The funniest discourse in the fandom I saw after the finale in theaters was not the fact that fans disagreed with it, it was the fact they turned it down automatically and denied that it's true. They didn't entertain it for a moment and that only made me believe it more.

I think I'm finally ready to come out as trans via my YouTube channel. Only obstacle is that I want to find a really funny way to do it. I need it to be sudden to give my viewers mental whiplash and then I continue like that didn't happen

Okay seriously, why do people separate art from the artist? Isn't the entire appeal of art that it was made by someone? Why do people only validate taking custody of creations from an artist when they are controversial? Do people even value art or do they just see a product?

All Anita ever did was make some mild criticism from a feminist perspective, but severity of her transgression or lack thereof doesn't matter, it's completely immaterial to the fact that the harassment campaigns drummed up against her didn't need a reason, didn't need an inciting event or cause.
