We will- I have no doubt- look back at this as one of the greatest scandals of our time. It he killing of the golden goose for the UK. A destruction of one of the most profitable and successful sectors.Yet, for now all politicians have their head in the sand on this one… A critically important read.

Well, Argentina v England part II this week was... something. Argies wearing a 1986 Hand of God replica, loads of flare ups, a bucket load of yellow cards, and a last minute potential equalizing try ruled out by the TMO to howls of protest from players and crowd. Bonkers.

Have I spent the day watching all six of the Nations Championship (🇳🇿v🇮🇹, 🇦🇺v🇫🇷, 🇯🇵v🍀, 🇫🇯v🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, 🇿🇦v🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, 🇦🇷v🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) matches? Well... yes. Am I also considering watching the World Cup QF (🇳🇴v🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿) at 10pm? Also yes. Sorry Mrs H. Thanks @itvsport.bsky.social!

A weird quirk of this north v south league set up: there's no real incentive to defend. It matters none to us if our opposition get BPs because we're not in direct competition in the league.

🧵 Amid all the speculation about Nigel Farage's 2pm statement, it's worth noting paragraph 40 of the Procedural Protocol to the MPs' Code of Conduct. If he announces he's resigning and seeking a by-election, that would not automatically end the investigation into whether he breached the Code in...

Hey, Gianni. How about we give Norway the goal that was ruled out for offside, and overturn the Brazil penalty decision, or is it only if your pal Donnie pressures you that you fold like a deck chair?

Sad day in Casa Harvey as we had to take our ginger genius Moriarty on his final journey to the vet. He'd been a part of our family for 16 years, tolerated lots of small people, fought with kidney disease, and purred like a train when he cuddled. Rest easy, and thanks for being with us.
