I almost tried a new lunch place today, but due to the distinctly ChatGPT-esque posters in the window (and the lack of any visible staff or customers anywhere) it started to feel too suspicious. I’d hate to accidentally eat in a money laundering operation.

It was sunny when we left on our walk, but after less than 15 minutes out, the dog and I were caught out in a huge hailstorm. And neither of us are capable of running right now.

Yesterday was two months since the heart surgery, and today I went into the forest. I only walked a bit over 2km, but it felt good to be getting back to normality a little.

I had heated up the (outdoor) pizza oven (which typically runs a little over 400°C) when some big rain arrived. Since the oven was too hot to move, I just got to watch each rain drop sizzle a little then evaporate away.

Lots more small birds from the neighborhood and this time it looks like each one gets their own individual hotel room. #birds

We called into the allotment and I harvested some tiny fruit - I don’t think I’ve ever held so many strawberries in my hand at once before. #gardening #allotment

I just saw two tiny birds who appeared to be bathing in a big puddle. It must be a tricky balance, as the bird, between getting wet enough that you feel adequately washed but not so wet that it makes flying difficult if you need to escape suddenly.
