In today’s #ParentingBites, Sue Atkins shares a simple, powerful habit: “Write down what went well, even just a small thing, before you go to sleep.” Whether it’s: 🍼 Getting through a feed without tears 💬 Having one honest moment with your partner 🛌 Simply making it through the day
Could you help us raise funds to help save babies’ lives? MAMA Academy is setting up a new London fundraising events team, and we’re looking for volunteers who’d like to get involved.
We’re proud to share that our CEO, Heidi Eldridge, has been recognised as Best Maternal Health & Pregnancy Support CEO 2025 (UK).
Resident doctors across England have been striking from yesterday (17th Dec). This action is going to last for 5 days (until the 22nd Dec). This may impact some doctor-led services at hospitals, but please be assured that emergencies, labour, and obstetric care will always be prioritised.
Amid the busy days, late nights, and festive plans if anything doesn’t feel quite right during your pregnancy, listen to that inner voice 📞 Call your Maternity Unit straight away. They’re there for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Christmas Day.
Pregnancy can feel like it’s all about the birthing parent, but partners are part of the journey too. 💛 In today’s #ParentingBites, Sue Atkins reminds us: “Partners can feel the baby move too. They can bond just as deeply.”
MAMA Academy has been shortlisted for 'Best Not for Profit Working in Partnership with the NHS' at the HSJ Partnership Awards.
Our incredible founder, Heidi Eldridge, is now available to speak at your events!

“My 14-year-old keeps asking for Snapchat. The answer’s still no.” 💬 In today’s #ParentingBites, Sue Atkins tackles one of the hardest parenting lines to hold: saying no when everyone else seems to be saying yes.
Winter pregnancy can feel cosy… and a bit overwhelming. Here are 3 tiny routines to steady your day:
You’re a part of this journey too and you can play a huge role in helping keep your baby safe. Movement awareness isn’t about counting kicks or stressing over numbers. It’s simply about knowing your baby’s usual pattern and acting early if something feels different.
Transparent, timely data saves lives. That’s why we’re releasing the 2024 stillbirth and neonatal death statistics by NHS Trusts using data obtained through Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Less movement? Different to usual? Call now. Your baby’s movements are an important sign of their wellbeing. If those movements ever feel less, slower, or different to what’s normal for your baby, it’s important to call your midwife or maternity triage immediately.
