Manau Miniatures

Scottish miniature designer, currently working on lots of Picts. You can find them here: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/ManauMiniatures

MMF has introduced different currency options, so now all my minis are listed in proper British pounds, not these newfangled American "dollars" (Terrible name, I would have called them alloas). This has also come with a slight price increase.

After doing many historical minis, labouring over trying to make sure things are as accurate as my knowledge allows, it feels good to work on something fantasy, where I can justify design choices as "I think it looks cool".

I thought I'd test out using brass rods and by my great genius (total coincidence) that 1.5 mm brass rods perfectly fit into the hands of my Pictish longspearmen. So I'll definitely get around to making individual spearhead variations of the spears I already released.

#WIPWednesday One thing I hadn't really thought of until now was having variations in height among the minis, I want to keep it subtle so they don't stand out too much but the extra height on the longspearmen wielding overhead does help them reach over the shields at the front.

Here’s a wee video of Nicky making a pendant based on the Pictish Burghead Ring. Hope you’re all enjoying the summer (even if the weather is a bit dreich like it often is here in Aberdeenshire)!
