Not going to this event simply cos of the AI flier. Anyway, I'm already busy on the ... ꟻth August?
#WIPWednesday Testing out posing for the #Pictish swordsmen. Still trying to figure out what works. Should I make the swords separate to allow for variation in posing and type? #Blender #EarlyMedieval #Picts
MMF has introduced different currency options, so now all my minis are listed in proper British pounds, not these newfangled American "dollars" (Terrible name, I would have called them alloas). This has also come with a slight price increase.
I have a feeling the Pictish swordsmen are going to be a bit more trial and error with the posing, I think their status demands something a bit more dynamic. #Pictish #Blender #Earlymedieval
The shieldwall comes together nicely, next on the agenda is the Pictish swordsmen, which should allow me to delve into the fancier aspects of fashion for the Picts. #earlymedieval #tabletopwargaming #minipainting
Back at #WIPWednesday with more heads! With all the variations of helmets available I figured I could instead to two sets of helmeted heads, one covering the 6th-9th centuries and the other covering the 9th-12th centuries. Here is some of the latter.
Here is the unarmoured Pictish warriors with spears all painted, plus the decorated round shields. Once again printed with the Mars 4 Ultra. #3dprinting #picts #earlymedieval #minipainting #historicalwargaming #alba #vikingage #historicalminiatures #tabletop #pictish
After doing many historical minis, labouring over trying to make sure things are as accurate as my knowledge allows, it feels good to work on something fantasy, where I can justify design choices as "I think it looks cool".
The early medieval spearhead set is out already! Literally just the longspear set I just released but as individual spearheads to be attached on poles.
Well after snapping the spear off a mini I was just about to paint I think I'll just completely switch to using brass rods. I'm not salty in the slightest.
I thought I'd test out using brass rods and by my great genius (total coincidence) that 1.5 mm brass rods perfectly fit into the hands of my Pictish longspearmen. So I'll definitely get around to making individual spearhead variations of the spears I already released.

Not much to report for #WIPWednesday, since the the previous WIPs managed to escape development hell. I do however have these early medieval helmets, where I intend for them to be part of an extra set of Pictish heads.
Here's the Pictish longspearmen all printed and built up! Soon to be painted... #3dprinting #mars4ultra #resinprinting #historicalminiatures
Breaking News: I'm a clot and I forgot to fix the scale of the heads again. This will happen again in the future.
The Early Medieval Pictish longspearmen are now released! #pictish #historicalwargaming #scottishhistory #picts #miniaturedesign #3dprinting #earlymedieval #alba #vikingage #myminifactory #historicalminiatures

WIP more mammoth, still tweaking a few details here and there and deciding between some stuff but we are getting somewhere. here depicted is both a war mammoth with a driver, and a regular wild one, both will be available. #Fantasy #Wargaming.
if England lose this theyre gonna execute tuchel at heathrow upon landing
How is France getting served it's worst defeat since 1870.
A little known fact about the St Andrews Sarcophagus is that it prophesied the arrival of Weird Al.
Today I am mostly going to be edge highlighting ultramarines
#WIPWednesday One thing I hadn't really thought of until now was having variations in height among the minis, I want to keep it subtle so they don't stand out too much but the extra height on the longspearmen wielding overhead does help them reach over the shields at the front.

Here’s a wee video of Nicky making a pendant based on the Pictish Burghead Ring. Hope you’re all enjoying the summer (even if the weather is a bit dreich like it often is here in Aberdeenshire)!
Behold! Progress. Ignoring the many failed prints and whatnot this is the first test print of the Pictish longspearmen, mainly just to make sure the details come out as intended and that they actually print.
