Stocktaking day! 5 yrs ago, none of this existed - even after 8 titles, I stacked all boxes at home - under beds, along the walls, taking up a whole room at one point! Now it’s all in a warehouse - it’s not exactly glamorous but it is my very own publishing dream come true: 16 titles, 16 pallets!

One year. Six rediscovered books, including: a memoir set on Broadway, a dystopian novel, a forgotten Northern classic, a ghost story in three parts, a gritty 1980s teenage adventure and a Christmassy heart-warmer for children of all ages from 5-99. Honestly, my job is a dream come true #booksky

Our newest summer novel is a page-turner - an eye-opener - a heart-wrencher … and a door-stopper too! The Moon is Making by Storm Jameson is set in Whitby, inspired by Whitby and back in print after almost a century. A true northern classic, introduced to perfection by Maxine Peake #booksky

This morning I am happily caffeinated and busy packing up all last night’s orders - but I stopped in my tracks when I got to this one. Do you think the customer chose these three titles for their matching purple covers?!?! 💜📚🤷‍♀️

And so it begins - all over again - for the sixteenth time! Our latest title, The Moon is Making by Storm Jameson, has just arrived in our office, perfectly in time for summer reading. All subscription and advance orders will now be wrapped and ribboned and packed and posted #booksky

Introducing our latest new-old summer read - The Moon is Making by Storm Jameson - a rediscovered novel from 1936 which is set in and inspired by Whitby. It’s dark, gripping and utterly page-turning. It could also prop open a door! Pre-orders will be posted out this week #booksky

So this arrived today! The very first copy of The Moon is Making by Storm Jameson. I know I'm biased, but it is both beautiful and epic. With the hugest of thanks to Maxine Peake and Alice Pattullo for showcasing this new edition so wonderfully. My publishing beart is bursting right now! #booksky

Introducing our mightiest book yet - it certainly has the widest cloth-bound cover of all the Manderley Press titles! This is being printed today and will be making its way over to our office later this month: The Moon is Making by Storm Jameson: our “love letter to the north” #booksky

If I hold this book upside down can you tell what it is? Another title tease for our forthcoming 2027 list - I’ve been seeking out some extra special treats, set in and inspired by some of the most iconic places and buildings around the world… #booksky

In praise of the matching bookmark… When a paper receipt or an old birthday card just won’t do, reach for the illustrated equivalent! This is the newest of our bookmarks, commissioned from the illustrator Alice Pattullo to accompany our summer title The Moon is Making by Storm Jameson #booksky
