I love finding the first harebells-Campanula rotundifloria-at this time of year. They are so delicate, and not brash at all! #wildflowerhour

Left in most things, but hardly ever right!
I love the first find of harebells-Campanula rotundifolia-at this time of year. They are so delicate & not brash at all!
Wood stage framing campanula (bell-flower?), and a veritable pick n mix of #StillFlowering wildflowers on the roadside #wildflowerhour
#wildflowerhour #StillFlowering Wild carrot & field scabeous painting such a pretty picture along the coastal lanes
I'll leave it to you as to whether these stonecrop-Sedum album-count as #climbingplants for this week's #wildflowerhour challenge, but here they are!!
Seen along the coastal path & on the beach today for #wildflowerhour Willow-herb dominating the meadow, angelica, sea mayweed, hawkweed among the other coastal plants, sea-rocket, & hogweed
More #ChurchyardFlowers for #wildflowerhour Red campion, germander speedwell, herb robert, ladies bedstraw, meadow vetchling, St John's wort, ground ivy, & birdsfoot trefoil
#wildflowerhour. #ChurchyardFlowers St John's wort, red valerian & buttercups among the old gravestones
As usual, it was very windy on the coastal path down to the beach this week for #wildfliwerhour I managed to find wild strawberry, spring squill (Scilla verna), red campion, bugle (Ajuga reptans), common vetch, & common dog violet
Windswept pics for this week's #wildflowerhour #tinyplants challenge: Ground ivy, germander speedwell & spring squill (on the cliff face-but I was safe!)
These are my finds from a quick dash to the beach this evening: Tree mallow, chamomile flowers, small bugloss (I think!), and gorgeous rosy garlic on the lane en route! #wildflowerhour
I'm not 100%sure, but I think I have hogweed, along with common vetch, for this week's #wildflowerhour #carrotsandpeas challenge
Common stitchwort, wild apple blossom, green alkanet & lady's smock in my local fields & lanes #wildflowerhour
I wish I'd known it's almost impossible to capture buttercups with a phone camera on a sunny day! However, here are a few I salvaged for this week's #wildflowerhour #ButtercupChallenge
I was so pleased to find my first common purple orchids of the year this afternoon, just a 5 minute walk away from my house! #wildflowerhour
There were so many hedgerow plants & flowers along the Anglesey lanes today, I had to make a collage for this week's #wildflowerhour #HedgerowChallenge Common vetch, hawthorn blossom, common dog violet, knotted hedge-parsley, red campion, germander speedwell, garlic mustard & cow parsley
There are wildflowers everwhere atm! Here's a sample of some seen on a local Anglesey walk this week: Celandine, wood anemone, wild garlic, wild cherry, red campion, iris (not quite in bloom), common dog violets (x2), honesty, & blue(& varie-coloured )bells, & comfrey #wildflowerhour
Native & Spanish bluebells of various hues and, one of my favourites, wood anemones, for this week's #wildflowerhour challenge, #WoodlandPlants
#wildflowerhour Another w'end away from home, so slim pickings from the banks of the very lovely, breezy river Severn at Shrewsbury today: Purple & white dead-nettle, & cuckoo flower (Lady's smock)
I'm away in the Canaries at the moment, so cheating a little bit for #wildflowerhour I'm surrounded by such beautiful vibrant colurs where I'm staying, it would be a pity not to share some of them!
Narcissi, symbols of Spring, joy & hope, & the vain youth, Narcissus who fell in love with his own reflection! They represent new beginnings. Dog's mercury (poisonous & historically used to make blue dye), & Alexander flowers, Roman 'pot herb' to warm a cold stomach! #Wildflowerhour #StoryPlants
The woods were steep & slippery in places, but I clung on, determined to capture some evidence of the numerous sweet white violets-viola odorata-along with a purple & possibly early dog violet(?) for this week's #wildflowerhour #WhiteFlowers challenge!
I've wavered between marsh marigold & lesser celandine-and have settled for celandine! Whatever, I think they're a definite #signofspring for #wildflowerhour
#thewinter10 for #wildflowerhour hebe, white narcissus, daffodil, herb robert, blackthorn, alexanders, lesser celandine, red campion, periwinkle & gorse-on the Anglesey coastal path this week
Carpets of beautiful spring flowers in the cemetary where my parents are buried, on what would have been my father's 99th Birthday today-St David's Day! 🏵 #wildflowerhour
