PC gamers will tell you it's not worth playing at low resolutions with low framerate. But the neat thing about PC gaming is you still *can*. Pop a used 2060 super into an office desktop and you can play doom or halo or cyberpunk at 720p or lower. And that's arguably better than not playing at all

I learned everything I know about budgeting from playing SNES RPGs. As long as I beat up goblins in my spare time I can afford anything.
Shiver Frye and Big Man really were stranded with the mechanic for an entire month and never bothered to learn their name. It's not even a voice acted game, they could totally have had you enter it lmao
The day the Steam Frame drops, I won't know because of a Valve email, and I won't know because of friends telling me. I'll know because there will be like 27 youtube notifications from tech youtubers all putting their video out the exact second the embargo expires.

Even if PS6 and Helix come any time soon, games will likely still cross platform release on PS5 and some even still on PS4. Which means they'll probably target Xbox Series S and Switch 2 as well. This gen is gonna be so long in the tooth and in a way that's a good thing. Optimize more, devs!
Deltarune Chapter 5 is full of so many nods to Japanese localized games that will go over people's heads, cause what do you mean a certain sprite has the letter "O" be one pixel wider to simulate a monospace font when playing the game in Japanese and be otherwise unchanged.
This is exactly what I theorized was possible a year ago, so cool that it actually does work. If an OS patch can remove that initial "insert once with internet" requirement, then we can potentially have a way to back GKCs up long after the servers die. bsky.app/profile/mano...

I'm not even in Texas, but I just switched to deer.social on desktop and graysky on android to verify how easy it is to switch and uh, yeah it's that easy. No matter how much bsky f's up, there will always be an alternative, and that's the beauty of the AT protocol.

Bsky is just an AT Protocol Client, and your Bsky account is an AT Protocol account - you can use your same Bsky account thru another AT Protocol Client, no migration or loss necessary. Could not be easier.

Genuinely think there's a market for game companies to straight up re-release old physical games. Factories still exist that print discs. Square Enix and Atlus have literally printed new copies of PS1 Final Fantasy and PS2 SMT games within the last few years.

Fighting games should have guest character movesets return in future games, either as create-a-fighter movesets or wholly new characters. I mained Link in Soul Calibur 2 and never really played another Soul Calibur cause I couldn't play as Link any more...
