And on top of that, they were all focused on people of color Trans poc, especially trans black people, rarely get any representation in media at all, let alone children's media. So taking that away is a huge slap to the face.

The episodes, from ‘Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,’ ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,’ and ‘Win or Lose,’ were either cut from release or have since leaked online.
Brand New Day is LITERALLY built of the back of The Home Trilogy. Anyone (cartoonishly) disrespecting those movies is just being Online Ridiculous™️ to me.

I am very resentful of how paranoid AI slop has made me anytime I see a cool drawing with extremely detailed shading/lighting, or anytime I see a video that looks neat but too unlikely. I used to have a sense of wonder and curiosity when I saw visual wonders. Now I just feel doubt 😞
Well this is no good. Look I know certain folks who are way too hung up on the "sexlessness" of PG-13 movies. HOWEVER, if it's an adult movie about adult relationships then something like is kind of a dealbreaker.

Doubtful these films are gonna be made. A Young Avengers film with visibly adult actors and not even using the “Young Avengers” name is moot. And Strange Academy would be criticized as a knockoff (unfairly) to a certain popular fantasy franchise that shall not be named. I hope I’m wrong though.

Good! Never liked the idea of turning Squid Game into a franchise beyond the original series. Squid Game's themes of social/class struggle in a hellish capitalist hellscape connects across the world. You don't need an American-set Squid Game and certainly NOT a fucking reality show like wtf Netflix.

An animated series format is a great way of reviving superhero movies or shows that aren't able to continue in live-action. There's no reason why say... Ms Marvel and She-Hulk for example can't continue as an animated series. Plus it allows them to showcase their powers more often on a lower budget.

I'm not pro-Gareth Edwards of late (he's pro-AI) but it's funny that Universal would not sign off on story decisions for a franchise as nonsensical as Jurassic World. Audiences actually only show up for the dinosaurs in these movies and if Dominion couldn't kill the franchise, then nothing will.

The best way to sell the severity of AIPAC's influence in American elections, the dangers of anti-trans propaganda, and Israel's genocide in Gaza to the normal liberal voters in your life is to simply say the following. "MAGA and Israel are using our money to kill children." That's it.

Drew McWeeny@drewmcweeny.com · 5d agoThe most egregious sin that THE NEW MUTANTS commits is wasting the pitch-perfect casting of Anya Taylor-Joy and Maisie Williams. I was a NEW MUTANTS fanatic in the '80s, and I cannot think of two more perfect people for those roles in a totally frustrating mess of a movie.
Daredevil should be in a Spider-man movie and Spider-man should be in a Fantastic Four movie. The joy of a shared Marvel universe is seeing the chemistry between these characters and helping each other in the process.
