We just released our preprint scirate.com/arxiv/2505.0... on arbitrary code distance fermion-to-qubit encodings! Almost all previous fermionic encodings have a fixed distance but we give a strategy to arbitrarily grow their distance and use it for Verstraete-Cirac and others.
