#MODtober my 18kb chiptune was used in “Fairy Memories” Amiga 64k-intro (can be found at pouet.net). It utilises the hand-made harmonic series instead of equal temperament, with an idea to fit major and minor chords in 128-byte loops with absolutely no clicks.

I’ve always thought that subscription-based software is absurd and an infringement of users’ rights. It seems that most such products are now coming to an end, as almost anyone can generate a product with the required functionality themselves and use it for free getartcraft.com/apps

If #AI has sped up your work, it means you were working slowly. That’s OK – I recently ported a game written in Fortran, but I can only read it at a junior level. So a week of chat with Claude Code really did speed up the process. But if I were a Fortran guru, I’d have done it all myself in 3 days.

I think I’ve figured out why people get sucked into AI chatbots and never come back. This happened 50 years ago too. It’s basically a gaming addiction :)

"Thank you, it works" message sent to Claude spends near 400 credits. And yes, as an UI/UX/Product designer you still spend around a hour (that includes a lot of manual work), chatting with A.I. to achieve a result that can be done manually in 15 minutes. And no, it won’t be any faster next time.

Game completed. Virtual Kasparov has been added to my list of favourite #Nintendo #Gameboy Advance games. It’s a rare chess programme where it’s easy to tell the bishop from the pawn at a glance. The story mode is interesting, and the A.I. offers a variety of challenges.
