Kind of heart, Kind of an arse. Part Owlbear. Posts may contain traces of TTRPGs, mental illness, neurodivergence, leftist snark and Dadhood. Sydneysider -> Londoner -> Stockholmare. He/him.

Watching The Avengers with the kids and I’m pretty sure they’ve seen 60–80% of it in aggregate from memes and YouTube shorts

More analogue Blood Bowl. The kids are adding their own Jim and Bob commentary for authenticity ”That player is about to be punched above AND below the belt…”

A tabletop Blood Bowl game in progress

Anyone who claims AI is a great support tool for neurodivergent people is welcome to gargle my entire unwaxed nutsack because they just held a pillow over the face of one of my most-used ADHD support tools to replace it with the million wrong opinions with a lanyard around its neck machine.

I remember when Gemini replaced google assistant. I said "Okay google, set a timer for five minutes", and instead of setting a timer like it used to, it said "I can't do that. Would you like to hear some things I can do?" so I cannot WAIT for this change to make my phone significantly less useful.

I know correlation != causation but the suggestion that AI use makes you stupid isn't disproven by the fact that everyone who posts in support of AI use is dick-shrivellingly stupid.

Big shout out to all the people who were mad at me for not wanting them to vote labour cause they were “certain labour will be better on trans rights than the tories“, they couldn’t have done it (segregation) without you

Again, this is another case of ”what the fuck are we even doing here?” It’s like watching a streamer and calling it playing the game. Games are a participation sport. You’re supposed to participate.

I tell you what, though, I've GMed every game I've ever run without AI, and my experience is that the more you do it, the better you get at it, so maybe don't foist off the creative endeavor onto the slurm faucet.

The main thing people can’t fathom is a justice system without police as enforcement and without retributive justice. We’re seeing a world where you can still get your stuff back but more importantly no-one needs to take your stuff.

It’s so funny when people are like “sure you’re an abolitionist now but wait until you’re the victim of a property crime.” Buddy, the most useful thing the police have ever done for property crime is put the form you need to submit to your insurance online.

A piece of advice for young players that came to mind while applying for a job: always make sure your P1 escalation protocols automatically alert the C-suite. Because there’s always some Kenneth or Karen who logs everything as a P1 and the CTO will get sick of the texts and kick their arse for you.

I don’t know what particular brainspider it is that makes me feel like a fraud whenever I’m sick. Like I was literally in hospital with dangerously low BP and a doctor prescribing morphine because the pain has kept me awake for months and here’s me thinking someone’s gonna call me out as a big baby.

I think I need contact with anyone else who's gone through the breast cancer rollercoaster recently. I've no family, nor anyone else I know that has been through it. I appreciate that you may not want to discuss this, but if you do I'd appreciate it x
