Tweeting about video games Trails Series, Yakuza, Final Fantasy, Zelda and Monster Hunter! RPGs are my life and passion! Also becoming a big board game fan! https://backloggd.com/u/Maradum/

Quartet out here being proof that you can be a linear, rather basic RPG with no fluff anywhere and it works absolutely wonderful. I love my hundred hours RPGs, but this simple moving from A to B to C is just so great. Definitely a must play.

We started with many advanced board games so today we went back and time and played Catan for the first time ever - and just like Monopoly it is one of those games where I do not understand why it is so mainstream. The gameplay loop feels so unrewarding, so heavily luck based 1/2

Crazy how Riot has one of the biggest money printing machines in the industry and they still fail to deliver 1 (one) other succesful product. This should have been another gold mine, but they failed all along the way (management related, mostly)

2XKO Active Development Will End in December 2026 www.riotgames.com/en/news/2xko... -Servers will remain on beyond 2026, and 2XKO will be playable on all platforms -'We're unlocking all champs. We’re also bundling most cosmetic items, and refunding all money spent in 2XKO on or before August 20'

Yeah Quartet is absolutely wonderful. Fast paced basic turn based combat, great art style, nice soundtrack and for that 60+ hour genre - it is so nice to play for 2 hours and not feel like you have not even started the game.

I think I will not play Nioh 3 DLC tomorrow. I always prefer waiting for all DLCs, then make a full new run that goes through all difficulties. Thinking about playing Quartet though until Onimusha release in September!

These insanely well sounding Fire Emblem Previews will NOT destroy my gaming order and schedule I so carefully crafted. My mind is stronger than the honey sold from the snake oil vendors. I will stick to the plan! Those previews are pretty sick though....

Played two nice rounds of Caverna yesterday. Really great Uwe Rosenberg game. So many options, so much stuff to do, so little time. A lot of planing. Son was getting all the farm animals as usual!

Looking forward to some reviews for Beast of Reincarnation cause so far I have no real clue how good this one can or will be. If it is not a day one I strongly consider a Pillars of Eternity 1 replay with the new turn based mode.

Back on my backlog at the moment, playing action games and I finished Ninja Gaiden Ragebound and am now playing Shinobi Art of Vengeance - and while Ninja Gaiden was a great game, damn Shinobi is just completely roling it in every aspect (maybe except boss fights).

Despite a report this morning, I can confirm that Obsidian is *not* in negotiations to avoid shutting down. Plenty of details are still up in the air surrounding the layoffs (picture will be clear on Monday) but Xbox is keeping Obsidian, according to people familiar with the situation.

Turbo capitalism is such a fucked up thing and the fact that people are not constantly chasing rich people and CEOs with pitchforks is a huge problem.

Post nicht verfügbar.

Falcom is such a clown company (affectionately). Posting new trailer, posting new Xanadu characters daily - not a single word about the Western Release. Like, surely this is delayed - but is it so hard to make a SINGLE post giving out information?!

Man fuck it. That is disgusting dog shit, consumer unfriendly and you will pay even more for just digital crap. I am lucky I was born in the 90s and lived through some great years of gaming, but shit just gets worse and worse thanks to fucking AI and Corpa soulless idiots.

"We're ending physical disc production, but don't worry — we're ALSO shutting down our digital stores!" blog.playstation.com/2026/07/01/a...

Correct thing to do would be to just make PS5 games until AI finally dies. However as we know the world, especially cooperations, are fucked so I bet we will see a 2027/28 1000€ PS6 (most likely even more). It was a good run, 30 years of video gaming. Glad there is enough old stuff I can play.

Kepler_L2 says the BoM (bill of materials) cost of the PS6 has increased by ~$200 since the $760 number he quoted March, putting it close to $1000 www.resetera.com/threads/15...

Finished Elliot. Very solid 8/10. I enjoyed the story and Elliot as a character much more than I thought at the start. Combat is fun, adventuring is good. Music and art style are peak. Biggest issue is how all 4 maps are soooo identical + no enemy variety. Still a great old school adventure game!

People complaining about the Star Fox Remake voice acting saying OG was better, when OG had the most 90s "lol whats a video game" voice acting in existence is hilarious. The amount of people I can take serious on the internet gets lower and lower every day.

My hot take: A game like Adventures of Elliot does not need side quests. Take the rewards, hide them in the world behind dungeons and challenges. Reduce the dialog. Some side quests are nice and add to the world/characters, but I do not think this specific type of game needs that.

Whoever invented the hyper backseating companion needs to go to jail man. That is the worst design choice in video games in the last years. I know we had Navi back then, but she was never that annoying.

I watched 10 minutes of football and I cannot take that clown sport serious. Motherfuckers still rolling aroudn for 10 minutes when they are touched a bit. Crazy. Cant believe Germans decided that this should be our national sport.

Played a lot of Elliot today and it is overall a great, fun game with nice exploration - but it also has some huge missed opportunities. Like many reviews said: The different ages do not feel different at all. Same dungeons, with small changes. And enemy variety is really bad. Still a good game!

Two hours into Elliot so far I can say: it looks wonderful, it sounds wonderful and it feels like a little cozy adventure so far. Compared to Mina definitely easier, but not a big suprise there. My favourite part so far: The cats that are voiced by VAs, wonderful meows there.

Tomorrow is Adventures of Elliot day! Coming directly from Mina the Hollower I am very excited for a similar, yet completely different time. Really looking forward to this one.

So Kyoto Xanadu release should be in 1 month and 1 day. When is the correct time to start panicking that it will be delayed in the West? It is already time for that no? At the moment the chances are a delay or some weird publisher/self publishing/MTL situation it feels like.

Not really suprising but Team Asano handles FF Resonance. I wonder what it would look like if they get the option for a new mainline FF. That would be interesting. At the same time I just want more Octopath and new Asano IPs, so..... That is a difficult trade-off.

Made my list of games from July to 2027 and holy. That is a lot. September is still by far the worst/best. If you love video games as a medium, as a whole, this is sick.
