It’s #NationalStorytellingDay. Every brand has a story—and sometimes the evidence is all over the floor. What unexpected moment helped shape your business? What’s yours?

Claire’s books are central to her professional identity, not an accessory to it. The Publications section needed mood, clarity, and room for each title to feel part of a larger literary world. What part of your work deserves more than a template?
Client: "I highly recommend Marcia Macomber..." There's more but little space here. Challenges: meet Accessibility demands & put the legally blind client at ease thru the building process. RESULTS -She received a commission for a new gallery show as a direct result of having her site. Win-win!
If customers have to climb a gate to find a basic answer, your website is making them work too hard. Make information easy to find, understand, and use. Good service shouldn’t be a barrier course.
Peak season demands a lot—but constant motion isn’t the same as clear leadership. Leadership coach Lori Varsames joined the Morning Show today to explore moving from reaction to the decisions that matter. Listen: ksvy.org #Leadership #Hospitality
A typewriter was designed to write words. James Cook looked at one and saw an art studio instead. That's one of my favorite things about creative people: they don't just use tools for what they were intended to do—they imagine what else they could become. Take a look. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3HP...

Website design is still my primary business. But I'm also a radio host (among other jobs) & I expect AI consulting to become a greater part of my work. That's what this week's newsletter is about—all those hats! And it starts with a few sugar ants. mailchi.mp/b63d8c0d91fd...
It started with a few sugar ants. My radio guest Joy Cuming didn’t reach for RAID. She watched them, asked why they were there, and learned something about the environment around them. That got me thinking about how we respond when our own lives or businesses start changing. Link in 1st comment.
A website launch isn’t the end of the story. Claire’s Blog gives readers another way into her work—and another reason to return. What does your website give visitors a reason to come back for?
Yesterday on The Morning Show, historian Frank Cogliano discussed Thomas Jefferson Survives—and what Jefferson’s complicated legacy asks of us today. Hear the full conversation: s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/archives.ksv...
A little recognition can go a long way. So can a belly rub, apparently. This World Gratitude Day, take a moment to thank the people who make your work easier, better, or simply more worthwhile.
TUNE IN MONDAY to the Morning Show 8-10am PT on @ksvysonoma.bsky.social Guests: Antoinette Freeman, Joy Cuming, Eric Marshall, @frankcogliano.bsky.social - co-author of Thomas Jefferson Survives; Ashley Burnett & Johanna Meyers Holm of Wine Women. Tune in to 91.3 fm locally or ksvy.org.
We rebuilt Claire's site to be more effective for visitors. Does it make you want to pick up one of her books? Her 5-star review, “My website is sooo outstanding… [the graphics] exactly represented the meaning and mood-feeling I wanted to convey. I am so proud of my new website.” claireortalda.com
I rounded up some of the most interesting real-world AI workflows I’ve found—and they’re a lot more practical than a list of futuristic predictions. Someone was tired of deciding what to wear. Another wanted AI to keep track of wine and figure out what to drink with dinner. Post link in 1st comment.
AI won’t replace business owners, it'll just replace a lot of the repetitive work they’re currently tolerating. The businesses that figure this out early won’t just move faster—they’ll operate differently. See a few ideas below, and visit our 25 Practical AI Ideas.
Claire’s books are central to her professional identity, so we didn’t present them as a generic list of titles. Custom coding gave the Publications section a distinctive presentation while keeping the WordPress site practical to manage. 👉 See what we created: cornucopiacreations.com/claire-ortal...
It’s National Boss/Employee Exchange Day, so this employee has taken the boss’s chair—and apparently the best spot in the office. Her first executive decision: no one gets it back. What might your team notice if management spent a day doing their job?

Back to business? Not so fast. I spent part of Labor Day weekend giving “work” to my AI team—and went outside with a glass of wine. Turns out that got me thinking about what “back to business” really means. Read this week's newsletter → mailchi.mp/aac2b80c746f...
AI didn’t make the design decisions for Claire Ortalda’s new site. It made exploration faster: more directions, better comparisons, fewer hours spent developing the wrong one. Human judgment still chose what belonged. 👉 cornucopiacreations.com/claire-ortal...

Weekend assignment: Spend 5 min. looking at something astonishingly beautiful. These aerial photographs absolutely stopped me in my tracks. My brain finally unclenched. If your week has been nonstop, this may be exactly what you need. ✨ I believe it's a gift link, too (in the 1st comment.)
A new website. A very happy author & a rather interesting experiment in how we build websites. I’m darn pleased with how it came together. AI didn't design the website; it changed how we explore ideas & possibilities for the client. 👉 Behind-the-scenes story: cornucopiacreations.com/claire-ortal...
