How does the Amazon forest sustain Brazil’s agriculture? This was what researchers from @serrapilheira.org studied and asked @joanagcc.bsky.social and I to communicate with an infographic. This piece goes along their results in a technical note sent to Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court.

I had the honor of designing a field guide that spotlights 222 species of pollinators in Portugal. These creatures play a vital role in our ecosystems, supporting over 75% of agricultural crops. Yet, their populations are declining, a reality that makes this guide more urgent than ever.

Yesterday I was reading about how competence and confidence usually diverge, in the book Think Again by Adam Grant. This is a cognitive bias called the Dunning-Kruger effect where less competent people overestimate their abilities and on the contrary, competent ones underestimate them. (1/5)
