Super talk re Undiagnosed Disease Network - neurologic symptoms most common for both kids and adults. But 60% of patients still not diagnosed after comprehensive genetic workup- suggests non-genetic sources. At NINDS' neural exposome workshop. bit.ly/4b3c277 #publichealth #datascience #exposome.

The session felt like a watershed though I lost the debate. @sfackley.bsky.social gave an amazing discussion of how the "garden of forking paths" - a gazillion tiny decisions we all make in an analysis - creates serious reproducibility issue in health research. #episky #datascisky #reproducibility

I had a blast participating in the @geronsociety.bsky.social #GSA2025 Epi of Aging IG debate on the “Biggest Baddest Bias in Aging Research” as “The Confounder 😎” I got SMOKED in the final vote (3%!) as @sfackley.bsky.social ran away with it at 85% but still fun! 😆 @mariaglymour.bsky.social

I used to think "Alzheimer's Disease" was clearly defined. But the definitions have changed repeatedly, with <3 years between revisions since 2007. Really thoughtful paper from van der Molen et al: doi.org/10.1002/alz.... Advantages of updates are unclear, with numerous industry co-authors. #EndAlz

In a bizarre twist of fate, I am the unofficial photographer for Caroline and the Green Line show at the Ponderosa, a super Trumpy but kinda fabulous dive bar in Acushnet MA. It is funny to try to jibe the venue with working on my post about why we need a strong CDC!!! I shoulda brought my own sign.

Caroline of Caroline and the Green Line singing (something great) and the top of Steve Brennan's hat (why is he bending over? is he fixing his guitar???) in front of the "gun owners for trump" sign and the "freedom is not free" clock.
