Since I don’t access to Scrivener anymore Obsidian is my new writing friend. I was nervous at first because I thought there would be learning curve?? the folder system isn’t that different from scrivener thankfully
Please consider ordering! I’m reordering the backup reminder cards and physical version of “how I learned to not hate my art” zine. Really both of these are lifesavers and I recommend them to everyone!!💖

Marighoul @ Hiatus@marighoul.bsky.social · 6mo agoSaturday night our house caught on fire. I was able to get my dog and everyone else out of the house before the smoke kicked in. Thankfully we are all safe but everything else will have to be replaced…
I was able to go into the house today and get one of the external drives that was tucked away in a drawer. it looks fine just dirty. If I lost it in the fire it would have been 10+ years of stuff just GONE 💀
Marighoul @ Hiatus@marighoul.bsky.social · 6mo agoPlease I’m begging anyone that makes stuff to not only archive your work on an external drive but also to the cloud. The more places the better!! There ARE situations where data recovery is not an option

If you'd like to help the indie community, support the people over at Comic Fury, Spider Forest, Comic Rocket, Webcomic Library, Webcomic Travelogue, Comix Cleric- and many more. Check out those places for webcomic resources and to keep things creator owned. That was the whole point of webcomics.
The thing that makes me most angry about what's happened to webcomics is how the scene has been imitating the shitty industry more each year: companies are taking advantage of artists, grinding them up, and leaving them to dry after they get their use outta them. Webcomics should stay indie.

Concept art from a scrapped project. Still love how this one turned out
Haven’t used tumblr in months but it’s still one my favorite places to post & browse in peace. I’ve been working on redoing my website just incase social media does actually implode :^)
Some fanart of Nyx for my friends over at @testingari.bsky.social !!! My pal Lorenzo’s been working incredibly hard to… bring this comic to life. Nyehehe. Escape the underworld or die trying !!! 💀🔥
The Age of Scorpious drama is so fascinating to me because what do you mean a writer spent his $100k+ preorder money, made off his (unedited) book, on hiring 20 artists to turn it into a multimedia project? And now the money is gone and there’s a queue to refund people???
Comicfury needs help again and since it's Beanstalked and Glitter & Guilt's home, I am doing my duty to raise awareness for folks following me It's literally one of the last spots online where you don't need to water down your art & story, it's anti-AI, and site updates are ACTUALLY helpful
🏴☠️ Carnivalaire of the Damned 🎃@shiningcapella.bsky.social · 8mo agoHey. I really love ComicFury. It's the best comic-hosting site there is. So please consider hosting your comics there, if you don't have a comic home yet! And please consider donating to keep it running! There's many reasons it's been going for 17 years now. I hope that doesn't stop. #comicfury
Sailor Moon R was a lot of fun gonna start watching the next season soon 👀
