Joint defence projects are helping speedy integration of Ukraine into the EU. With MoD Mykhailo Fedorov we signed agreements to associate Ukraine 🇺🇦 with two key EU 🇪🇺 defence industry programs - EDF & EDIP/USI. Ukraine is becoming part of our 🇪🇺 policies & instruments. Integration in progress!

Integration of 🇪🇺 and 🇺🇦 defence industries is very much needed for the EU and for Ukraine. Such integration is a strategic move towards the full integration of Ukraine. 🇪🇺instruments to support it - USL, BravetechEU, EDF, EDIP, SAFE, EDPCIs, where European and Ukrainian industries can work together!
A strong Eastern Flank is in the vital interest of the entire European Union. Threats are real! Ready to act together to counter them and further support Ukraine 🇺🇦. With EU 🇪🇺 support on all levels, with €150 billion of #SAFE loans.

Today’s agreement on Defence Readiness Omnibus brings big change: Max 100 days to wait for defence industry permits instead up to 4 yrs. Simpler procurement rules, smaller burdens. Small steps in rules, big steps in #DefenceReadiness! We’ll continue to defragment defence market.

The US would not be stronger if they had 50 defence markets & industries on the level of each state. In Europe, fragmentation into 27 defence markets & industries also does not bring strength to us. We must be ambitious for our defence: on defragmentation, on scale, on speed.
