On 30 September, the European Parliament’s building glowed pink to mark the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026.   The European Parliament remains committed to boosting breast cancer awareness and prevention across Europe and worldwide.

We all need doctors, nurses and healthcare workers. But the healthcare sector faces serious staff shortages. By 2030 there's an expected shortage of one million workers, including nurses and doctors. Parliament adopted proposals to strengthen healthcare systems and improve working conditions.
