Today's outdoor adventure was spectacular. After so much rain in Marin this is my go-to hike.

We have been experiencing temperature inversions in Northern California for more than a week with sunny, warm weather in the mountains and cold, foggy conditions in the valleys. That's California Cold! Today's ride had it all and we kept climbing Mt Tamalpais to feel the sun.

Yesterday, I volunteered at the AIDS Lifecycle Pre-Expo Training Ride and later at the TRL booth. The highlight of the day was meeting so many first-time riders. You could feel their excitement and nervousness, a feeling we all share, whether it’s our first ride or our return for another year.

I am so lucky to live in Northern California. This weekend, I rode Mt Hamilton with the Different Spokes cycling team and my team, Marin Marauders AIDS Lifecycle Training Group, to the Cheese Factory and Novato. My heart is full.
