Magnetic field of calutrons (uranium processors, Manhattan Project) was so strong, they'd pull the nails out of shoes. Man was pinned by a steel plate. He was pried off the calutron with a 2x4. In this calutron #vr scene, tap metal tools to play with the magnetic field.
