I can see why Corbynites are so against #Starmer - their little poppet lost out - but the insane level of dislike makes no sense. Less likeable than that waistrel Johnson? Less paletable than Truss? For delivering policies Britain voted for? Bonkers.

In a pub, wanting food. Food is ordered at table via QR code. Scan QR code. Follow link. To order food download our app. Dowoad app. To order food from app you need to register. Two pages of registration to follow... I gave up, left the pub and went to a café with humans.

I don't understand the positive joy some on this platform are taking in the murder of #AnneWiddecombe. Yes, her views were abysmal, Victorian and based on a personal hypocrisy - but none of that, NONE OF IT, excuses murder. Or else civilisation dies to spare *your* feelings. And next, it's you.

Watching #EdithSitwell in the 1959 John Freeman 'Face to Face' interview and finding her strangely absorbing - a Victorian-modern with an other worldliness about her. I'd imagine - if you could get past the likely condescension - an hour with her would have been a delight. Eccentric, but not batty.

BBC on #ARGSWI: 'In total, there were 32 fouls in the game, 14 of them from the Argentines - but no yellow cards were given to the South Americans until extra time.' #FIFA stands for Fix It For Argentina. It is now so blatant as to be comical.
