🇫🇰 Great to catch up with Andy Dalton ahead of my trip to the Falkland Islands with our amazing Armed Forces. Andy has entrusted me to hand over some gifts to his friends on the islands, and I'll be proudly laying a wreath on behalf of a local man who fought during the Falklands War.

Many thanks to the residents of The Grove who have asked me for to share these photos of our meeting last week! The Grove is a retirement complex in Gildersome. I was invited by residents to see it and speak with them about the changes they want to see in the building.

I spoke with Channel 4 today ahead of the sentencing of rogue funeral director, Robert Bush. We discussed the progress of the campaign to regulate the funeral industry, a campaign I will always pursue on behalf of Cody, Liam and Zoe.

🏋️ Great to catch up with the team at Morley Leisure Centre earlier. We addressed local casework given to me by residents and about police action to deter ASB in the centre. 👋 No Parliament so I’m working in the constituency all week, please say hello if you see me!

👏 Celebrating local talent It was great to catch up with local postman Phil Cawood at the weekend. Despite facing his own challenges with dyslexia, Phil has become an inspiring children's author and illustrator. He's a fantastic example of some of the amazing talent we boast right here in Leeds.

Massive thanks to GBS Global Banking School for giving me a tour around their facilities in Leeds. I was really keen to meet with GBS again after speaking at their first ever Leeds-based graduation ceremony last month.

🎆 Campaign WIN on fireworks 🎆 The Government has now launched a landmark review & consultation on how fireworks are regulated. This is an issue I've raised consistently with ministers as your MP.

🎶Absolutely fantastic to meet with Annie from Morle Live to discuss her plans for the return of the Morley Arts Festival. What a job she and her team have done so far, a completely selfless and community-driven initiative. I can't wait!

I had the pleasure of meeting with the MND Association again at their West Yorkshire meeting last week. It was a really insightful event, meeting people living with motor neurone disease and their carers, including my constituents.

Weekend round-up! 📅My Friday began by meeting with Manning Stainton in Morley. I joined them to celebrate the start of the final leg of the Relay for Sophie. A magnificent charity event which raised over £30,000 in memory of Sophie, a much-loved and much-missed colleague.

I welcomed the designation of the IRGC yesterday, something I’ve long campaigned for. I also placed on record my thanks to Keir Starmer for delivering a historic Labour majority, 5 years after our crushing defeat in 2019. I wish Keir and his family all the best for the future.

Brutal result. A familiar feeling. Desperately sorry for the England football team. Grateful for some of the performances, especially Mexico at the Azteca, but we were so close... until we weren't. Until the next one 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

📚 Farnley Academy in Westminster! What a pleasure to host students from Farnley Academy in Parliament today. We even engaged in a quick Parliamentary debate on the estate. They clearly have very bright futures.

The Iranian regime is the world’s primary sponsor of terror abroad. It threatens the safety and security of the British people, including our Jewish community here at home. I welcome the Government's decision to fulfil it’s promise and designate the IRGC as a threat to the UK.

UK bans support for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps

Shabana Mahmood will use new powers to ban support for the group, which has been linked to death threats and intimidation on British soil.

It’s time to stop dodgy donors. That’s why I tabled an amendment to the Government's Elections Bill, calling for requirements to check obvious red flags. The door must be slammed shut in the faces of foreign hostile actors. There's no room for dirty money in British politics.
