'After the Rain', oil on canvas (40 x30 cm). This one is from a few years ago but still feels new to me. Over the last few years I've been really interested in misty landscapes and this area of Cannock Chase Forest was inspiring . #oilpainting #landscapepainting #fineart #cannockchaseforest

One from the recent past, 'Alderley Edge', ink pen on paper. I like working with ink from time to time and enjoy building up layers of texture through multiple flicks of the pen. #inkpen #pendrawing #alderleyedge #nationaltrust #finelinerart
'Bad Eddie', graphitint and pencil on paper. A new drawing featuring the shipwreck on Bunbeg Beach in County Donegal. I visited the area last year on a trip to Ireland and found some inspiring landscapes. I have always been fascinated by abandoned things! #pencildrawing #countydonegal #bunbeg
I've just completed a new acrylic painting titled 'Autumn Rain'. This piece is inspired by a photo my son took during a walk in Yorkshire. I rarely work off other people's photos but was immediately drawn to the remote building within the natural landscape and felt the need to paint it.
I'm pleased to announce that my drawing, 'Left Behind' has been selected for the forthcoming 'Three Counties Open Art' exhibition at Fenton Town Hall. The show has been organised by Arts Keele and launches on the 8th August. #watercolourpencils #urbanlandscape #stokeontrent

Today I’ve been experimenting with Quink and white ink on some new landscapes. I like the mix of loose and focused drawing as well as the random shapes and colours that appear as the ink dries. #inkdrawing #quink #experimental

I have been focusing on the landscape for quite a while in my work. The urban and the natural scenes that inspire me are all linked by the power of nature. Here's one from a few years ago, following a trip to the Highlands; 'Aonach Mor II'. #acrylicpainting #landscapepainting #scotland
'Derelict Cottage', acrylic paint on canvas. This piece was completed today and features an abandoned building I found in County Donegal last year. Places like this are full of mystery and I love seeing how nature takes over things we leave behind. #abandoned #acrylicpainting #ireland

I've had a day in the studio today due to travel plans being disrupted by snow. I finished off a commission and then made a few alterations to my last oil painting. This is 'Derryvaugh Mountains' and is inspired by a trip to County Donegal last year. #oilpainting #landscapepainting #countydonegal
I like to get out in nature as much as possible and I’m always inspired by the natural landscape. Here’s a watercolour of mine that captures the current season. This one is ‘Frozen Earth’ and it’s available to purchase. #watercolour #landscapepainting #cannockchase
