“Are games back? Are movies back?” They never left. Ever. Every year has incredible games and movies. Every single year.

So sick of people complaining about The Odyssey. Like it’s a fictional poem! If you want a truly authentic Greek story, then 2006’s Employee of the Month starring Dane Cook and Jessica Simpson is right there!
It’s actually nuts how much better Del Taco is than Taco Bell. Justice for the true unspoken hero, del taco!
Sounds like them right-wingers odyssey a therapist, because they aren't gonna be able to handle this one.
‘THE ODYSSEY’ is now tracking to pass $1 billion worldwide in its box office run. It is expected to become Christopher Nolan's highest grossing film ever.
Nah it's just that most of us don't have goldfish memories that forget the horrible things Xbox does overnight because we want free translucent consoles.
I’ve played a good amount of Splatoon Raiders. So i made a video about it! youtu.be/rDlSQ_zOnD4?...

Splatoon Raiders is an amazing action RPG. It has fantastic new powers with crazy upgrades, tough battles that force you care about your build, and a huge variety of fun level types. This is the best Splatoon campaign and one of the top Switch 2 games. My review is up now, on @ign.com!
Personal anecdotes don’t change the stats. Saying “i like buying physical” doesn’t change the actual reality of physical vs. digital. Also, you’re completely silly if you think bombarding social media tweets is going to do anything to change a corporations mind.
2 PlayStation video games sold more than 10k physical units in the US during week ending July 11, 2026. 7 have sold more than 100k physical units year-to-date. Source: Circana Retail Tracking Service
I keep seeing articles about Andrew Tate getting arrested an I'm incredibly dissapointed in mainsteam media that they're not using the best picture of him for their thumbnails.
Indie devs are now being harassed for not releasing their games physically if PlayStation advertises their games. Like all internet discourse, the people who think they’re the “good guys” always end up revealing themselves to be absolute losers.
The idea that Christopher Nolan is a bad director is extremely stupid, sorry. He’s the kind of very good but broadly appealing director that used to be much more common, the kind of director who makes reliably good, interesting movies for adults
It’s almost like most media companies have been gutted to the point where they all run with skeleton crew staffs, making the onslaught of gaming news very difficult to keep up with. But i guess that’s just not useful context, apparently.
It's wild how 70% of the stories on the Microsoft game studio layoffs and carnage don't think it's worth noting that the company went on a studio acquisition spree three years ago that involved lying constantly about the vast benefits of mindless consolidation just not useful context, apparently
A lot of these folks will claim they call out Xbox. But again, they only do it when they have permission from the company, which is the day the news drops. the next day it's full on back to damage control. This is why I dislike the concept of influencing. The profession is designed to be dishonest.
Finally got to see the Nintendo Store in SF. It’s so cute.
On the Amtrak today, and as someone who used to ride it weekly when i first started at IGN, it’s weirdly nostalgic! I love the train!
Jon Bernthal & Tom Holland together in ‘The Odyssey’ & ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. Both films are in theaters this month.
I have an idea for a video game. It’s called Mario 64 2 and it’s gonna sell 10 million copies.
I've played about 30 hours of AC Black Flag Resynced. My short take is that it is a very good video game! Feels like someone essentially modded AC Shadows and rebuilt Black Flag in it's engine. It's absolutely gorgeous and it's very fun! (Disclaimer: Im a huge fan of the Ubisoft formula, sorry)

Not every game needs a Battle Pass. In fact, most don't. BUT, I will say, some games might benefit from one. For example, Nightreign would've probably had much more user retention if folks had seasonal rewards to strive towards.

What are Xbox fans even a fan of? I get if it’s your platform of choice, But i don’t even know what it means to be a fan of that brand. You like Halo? Like, I don’t even know lol.
"you do not, under any circumstances, "gotta hand it to them""
And there it is. 3200 lose their jobs now because Xbox doesn’t know how to run a business. www.ign.com/articles/xbo...
