Had a whirlwind weekend at the TIFF market with #TeamMIMIR (and friends). Saw a couple of movies (the excellent River, among them.) More importantly had some great meeting, fun hangs, tangible discussions and development, and continue pushing closer and closer to bringing MIMIR to life.
Andy was one of the coolest people i’ve ever met. and somehow, more than he was cool, he was exceedingly kind, sincere, and thoughtful.
There is little I can add to the outpouring of emotion, memories, and condolences today. Andy was just a really great dude. A positive presence that made me smile every time he was up here. Rest in Peace, Andy. I'm going to really, really, miss you.
So incredibly excited to have MÍMIR selected as one of the projects for the first-ever TIFF Market. We've been building an amazing team around this film, all sharing the same creepy vision, and we're incredibly excited about where it's headed.

Rewatching this for the first time since opening day, March 1999... My only memory of the brother from Home Improvement (who wasn't Jonathan Taylor Thomas) getting shot in the dick with a spear gun due to telekinetic powers.

25 years ago to the day, I remember being 17 years old and celebrating the release of this at the Bytowne. Last night was amazing. Seeing it with a packed crowd, many younger than the movie itself. So happy to have been a part of this way back when, and seeing it still giving people smiles.

Remember #Deathwave? It's been about a decade since the #horror sub-genre was given the label, that some mocked and other embraced. Looking at the current landscape, it's hard to ignore how much of an impact it had. I think the golden age of horror we are currently experiencing, starts there.
