What an amazing listen this was! A lush, lurid world peopled with enigmatic, confounding characters.  A little sci-fi, a little contemporary fantasy, a whole lot of marvelous.  Impeccable verisimilitude.  Achieved in no small part due to the perfect narration by Sid Sagar. #audiobookreview

This vampire tale/historical fantasy/gay romance had lots of ideas that were derivative and never quite came together.  Also, the narrator has a peculiar voice I wasn't sure I would be able to hang with.  That evened itself out as the story went along. #audiobook #audiobookstagram #audiobookreview

A Voice of Wrath was a treat to narrate. Fun, feisty fantasy with a richly imagined world by author Brittany Cook. Available now from @rbmediaco.bsky.social https://f.mtr.cool/ocnxl8vn4s

Wow. Still reeling from this epic sci-fi? fantasy? kick-ass novel. From a new favorite writer Sam J. Miller and narrated astonishingly by Vikas Adam. Again, wow... @sentencebender.bsky.social @vikasadam.bsky.social #audiobookreview #audiobookstagram #audiobook

Utterly strange and fascinating slow-dread gay horror from Perry Brass. Nice and creepy. #bookrecommendation #bookstagram

Sam J. Miller grabbed me by the short hairs and pulled with this electrifying introduction to his work. Short stories threaded through with mysterious, menacing interludes. Haven't been this excited by an author in a long while! @sentencebender.bsky.social #bookrecommendation #bookstagram

Silly, nerdy fantasy fun from AJ Sherwood @ajsherwood.bsky.social narrated with zest by Tim Paige, Michael Ferraiuolo, Greg Boudreaux, Cooper North, and Shawn K. Jain. #audiobookreview #audiobook #audioboostagram

Laundry casualties of the great power outage basement flood of 2026. Other casualties: chest freezer, books, many sentimental items. Luckily my beloved recording booth survived unscathed. Our water-powered sump pump backup that is supposed to kick in failed--a month after it was out of warranty.

Cameron Sullivan delivers a tour-de-force of literary high fantasy set in pre-revolutionary 18th century France. A sumptuous bloody feast narrated adroitly by Rory Barnett and Imogen Church. sbee.link/ugmeatb9q4 #audiobook #audiobookstagram #audible

Hailey Turner is a master storyteller, and despite the bodice-ripper cover art, this series delivers some great military sci-fi in her take on mutants: 'metahumans.' Greg Boudreaux narrates. A beautifully imagined, well performed adventure series. sbee.link/w3njktg9ud

Richard Amos creates unlikely heroes and turns them loose in endlessly imaginative worlds with perfectly paired paramours. This time its post-apocalyptic London, zombies, and werewolves. Will M. Watt and Matt Mecurio narrate. sbee.link/jmp64yfnq8

A charming gay rom-com between an experienced, easygoing sub and an awkward closeted dom. Fun role reversal. Very British. By author Josephine Myles. sbee.link/793wetv6bq #bookreview #bookstagram #kindle

Hailey Turner @haileyturner.bsky.social is an exceptional storyteller. The Infernal War Saga is high fantasy set in a steampunk world. Game of Thrones-level political scheming. Gary Furlong @garyfurlongvo.bsky.social is indomitable as narrator. sbee.link/h634jefcqa #audiobook

Garish off-putting cover art hides an exciting well written 9-book urban fantasy series by @sheenajolie.bsky.social Boston Necromancer Angel Salvatore battles supernatural threats with help from found family including vampires, fae, werewolves, and mythic Celts. sbee.link/yh8qbag36f

I'm a fan of David R. Slayton's Adam Binder series, but I fell in love with the sumptuous world of the Gods of Night and Day series. Gorgeously crafted high fantasy full of capital R romance. Michael David Axtell lends perfect poetic narration. sbee.link/rpawngkcmj

Mytho Investigations is an urban romantasy where the mythic world has crashed into the human world. Stranded supernatural beings are marginalized by mainstream society. TJ Nichols @tjnichols.bsky.social uses this well imagined culture to adroitly comment on our own. sbee.link/hkpxd9umeg

The first book in the newest series from Hailey Turner @haileyturner.bsky.social Compelling contemporary fantasy with a dark fae twist. Gorgeously imagined. Narrator Gary Furlong @garyfurlongvo.bsky.social lends wonder and gravitas. sbee.link/8arvgpdbhx #audiobook #audible #goodreads

An elite, secret BDSM society is the backdrop for this intriguing MMM romance from N. R. Walker @nrwalker.bsky.social . Pulls the curtain back on the inner workings of a 24/7 collared lifestyle. a.co/d/03XMSwCD

The second book of a standalone series by K.A. Merikan set in the remote mountain wilderness of Poland. Dark, folkloric, and full of atmosphere. Wyatt Baker narrates. a.co/d/04Sgha5g

The amateurish cover art is a shame, because this series is the best LitRPG I've read yet. Plus Michael Taggart is a Kentucky boy and much of the action is set in Louisville. Well constructed urban fantasy with a lot of heart. Highly recommend. sbee.link/d6cvygeq98

Rina Kent delivers her special, spicy brand of dark mm romantasy in this second standalone title in the Villain series. This time its rival mob family scions who burn with enemy-to-lover passions. Ambitious full cast narration mostly works. sbee.link/d6e87chxqr

This series of taut thrillers set in St. Louis serves up serial killers, family drama, crime, and occasional shocking violence. The MM couple are members of the BDSM community. Their romance is a wholesome counterpoint to the rest. From author AJ Rose @ajrose.bsky.social

These two standalone titles are from Hailey Turner's Soulbound universe. Two fan favorites get their own romances. Dragons and selkies and vampires, oh my! Gary Furlong returns as narrator. sbee.link/adkepwmjt9 and sbee.link/ejbpx4vnwk

The Spider and the Hunter Series is a fantastic contemporary fantasy series. E.M. Jeanmougin and Jay Wright have delivered a richly imagined world with compelling, memorable characters. Dark, gritty, urban. Lots to love here. sbee.link/pwbctyd7qh #bookreview #bookstagram

Richard Amos @richardamosauthor.bsky.social pairs a Kylie Minogue-obsessed homeless warlock with a suave billionaire vampire for perhaps his most realized and heartfelt series. Narrators Tom North and CJ Wayne bring the characters to life. sbee.link/p6jtg7cd3n #audiobook #audible

This recent release by Julie Gunn was a bit of a stretch for me. I was cast as the male lead in a very hetero romance. An obnoxious, self-absorbed actor (so maybe not THAT much of a stretch!) Dual narration with the talented Marie Hawkins. sbee.link/nm9px7hdq6

Nobody does dark like Nero Seal @neroseal.bsky.social . Seth is a fascinating tale of violence, lust, obsession, and the supernatural. Not for the faint-of-heart, but I thoroughly enjoyed. sbee.link/wbmapvfqxc

Chani Lynn Feener conjures a compelling dark, paranormal sci-fi adventure full of murder, obsession, morally gray characters, and dubious consent. Great atmosphere. sbee.link/ktdcxvfb93

Despite the terrible cover art (a plague of this genre), @richardamosauthor.bsky.social brings his trademark storytelling magic to the tale of an exiled siren hiding out in our world as a rock star. A 4-book series featuring some wholesome, charming polyamory. sbee.link/4gjpfrb7hq
