So here I am, not doing the writing I've been putting off and had told myself I'd definitely get around to this evening, but instead reading a very interesting article on How to Beat Procrastination.

Maybe not the best time to have read Prophet Song by Paul Lynch but it's beautiful and brilliant. Also terrifying.

Has there been a more beautifully produced and perfectly acted bit of telly this year than The Mirror and the Light?

The Mirror and the Light really is the perfect way to finish the weekend. Fabulous telly.

It's that feeling of having arrived alone and late to the party, and looking desperately about the place for a friendly face or two to cling to.

I'll be talking to non-writer colleagues about flash fiction this morning. They're advertising creatives. I can see parallels. Hoping to pull at least one or two on board the flash train.
