Yesterday, the exhibition “Forest Worlds” opened at the Gasometer Oberhausen, Germany. Through stunning, large-format photographs and videos, the Gasometer demonstrates that forests are more than just a collection of trees. I am happy to have had the opportunity to contribute to the exhibition.

I had the opportunity to meet the winner of the UNICEF Photo of the Year 2024 Samar Abu Elouf in Amsterdam. In the short meeting, I was able to get to know a great, strong and humble woman. Congratulations, of course, on winning first prize of the World Press Photo Award, too. Photo: Heba Khamis
