Add an export_test.go to the package: package foo var Export = unexported Test files don't ship with the build, so external _test packages can reach it while the real API stays unexported. The standard library does this everywhere.

Hahahaha, the Claude desktop app has a 1Password connector. Nope-di-nope-nope, I'm not letting Claude near that.
A Go pattern I like: keep the fat service struct, but wire each operation with its own function — *Service plus narrow interfaces for exactly the dependencies that operation calls, set as a closure on a private func field. HTTP-handler-style registration, for business logic.

I've had access to Claude 5 Fable for a bit. A genuine jump in capability, I could feed it a 15 page design document for a project and it would work for 9+ hours and deliver terrific results. But working with it is weird & weirder is coming Lots of examples: open.substack.com/pub/oneusefu...

Ooooh, I didn’t realize it’s even cooler than I thought. This seems to be the largest model in the Gemma 4 family that has native audio input, in addition to vision. Impressive!
