Latest painting of Soho now available from my website (link in bio). A vertical slice of Soho. This time, Ronnie Scott's jazz club in Frith Street, London. This must be about the 5th time I've painted the club now? Ronnie Scott's Oil on canvas 32" × 12"

One of my favourite paintings of Soho. I tried to paint it without any cars or people, as I iften do. But, there is the lorry at the far end of the road, that I liked the glow of it's red lights reflected in the wet street, along with the neon from Bar Italia and Ronnie's, so left it in.

A new Soho painting added to my website (link in bio). Dusk Falls On Dean Street Oil on canvas 61cm × 50cm There's a wonderful transition when day turns to night in Soho. As the dusk falls, the light is neither daytime, or night and the atmosphere begins to change with it.

Just finished a new Soho painting. A wet day in Meard Street. I love Meard Street. Not only is it a fine example of 1720's architecture. But, home to some famous nightclubs and notable residents. Can you name any? Meard Street, Soho Oil on canvas 24" × 16" Available from website, or DM for details.

Currently on the easel. A painting of Meard Street Soho on a rainy day that I started in February. But, somehow forgot all about and it got stacked amongst a load of other canvases. I'm currently doing more abstract landscapes, so it's nice to be working on something more realistic for a few days.

They say, "paint what you love", and I love the art made by British artists in the late 40's, early 50's. And my latest painting I think has a hint of post-war aesthetics. Albeit of a very modern view of the City of London. City Panorama Oil on canvas 24" × 16" Available soon on my website.

Another new painting in my series of cubist style paintings of brutalist architecture. This one is of the Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury. In the late 80s I lived just across the road and regularly did my washing in the laundrette there. Perspective Brunswick Oil on canvas 18" × 18"

A new painting added to my website, part of my series that I'm calling Modern Cubism. Southbank II Oil on canvas 24" × 16" A painting of the National Theatre on London's Southbank. Painted in an abstract cubist style to convey the blocks and shadows of the brutalist architecture.

I can laugh about it now, but the stress caused by DPD, who over a month ago lost my painting Southbank I in transit to my customer. Then, eventually retrieve it only to keep it in their depot for 11 days with no action! The Wanted poster is a homage to Freud's stolen painting of Francis Bacon.

A reminder that my studio clearout sale ends on Sunday. But, also a reminder that you can buy my paintings of Soho. Like this doorway which is sadly a victim of regeneration and no longer exists. Please visit my website (link in bio), or message me! Sleazy Soho Doorway Oil on canvas 24" × 16"

Today's featured painting in my studio clearout sale is a large portrait depicting the feeling of suppressed rage and frustration that can sometimes be felt within. If you're interested in this painting, it is available on my website via the link in my bio. Suppression Oil on board 81cm × 61cm

A painting available in my studio clearout sale is this portrait of a woman with interesting tattoos. I painted a grisaille monochromatic underlayer. It gives the skin tone a nice luminosity. For sale at a reduced price on my website. Link in bio. Woman With Tattoos Oil on canvas 50cm × 50cm

Disappointed to see the neon lights of La Bodega Negra no longer in Old Compton Street. I always intended to paint them on a rainy night with the reflections bouncing off the pavement. Thankfully, I have painted a scene of them, with a couple kissing outside. Soho Kiss Oil on canvas 28" × 20"

Today's featured painting in my Spring Studio Sale is a quirky one, as it's a self-portrait, and inspired by the story from Greek mythology of Selene, the Moon goddess, who fell in love with a human on Earth called Endymion. Apparently they had 50 kids!! The Lunatic Oil on board 55cm × 46cm
