Hi, this is Amanda from Buffer’s product team. 👋🏽 I wanted to share a quick update on what we’ve been working on with the Buffer API and Developer Portal. First, thank you to everyone who’s been testing and sharing feedback. It’s been so helpful, and we’re building with that input in mind. 💙

Using a mix of insights from our "In Bloom" campaign, raw post data I pulled using our new API, and AI, this is my @Buffer year in review:
For almost a year, Sr Software Engineer @ Buffer, Arek Panek lived inside one of the most stubborn product mysteries at Buffer: posts getting “stuck in processing.” A tiny percentage of updates that were neither sent nor errored. Just stuck. This became his North Star, & he refused to let it go!
Since the beginning of the year, I've made it a habit to share something on social every single week. What surprised me the most? The biggest shift didn't come from posting more - it came from engaging in real conversations.
We’re rebuilding Buffer’s Public API. Here’s why this matters for developers and the broader ecosystem 👇
We’re not just building a public API. We’re building a dev experience we’d want to use ourselves! 🎥 If you’ve been dreaming of a more automation-friendly, developer-loved Buffer; this one’s for you!
👋 I'm taking over @buffer.com's Bluesky social account for the upcoming Mondays (spoiler alert: lots of API chats to come 😂). Is there anything you'd like to discuss over on our brand channel?
We're rebuilding Buffer’s Public API — and thought this was the perfect time to answer some of your burning questions! 🔥 🧵
31 weeks in a row of sharing content on social! That’s over half a year of consistency 🤯 To put it in perspective: if this streak were a baby, it’d be about the size of a coconut right now 🥥
Thrilled to announce my debut on the @buffer.com blog! 🎉 I just dropped my first article, all about how we’re giving Buffer’s Public API a makeover 💅 buffer.com/resources/re...
We’re Rebuilding Buffer’s API: Here’s Why — and How it Will Work
Buffer is an intuitive social media management platform trusted by brands, businesses, agencies, and individuals to help drive social media results.

I’m speaking at TGS Con in Amsterdam this September 🌷🚲 TGS Con is designed to be different. Interactive roundtables, practical tracks, hands-on sessions, and a fully-vetted room, built exclusively for founders and GTM leaders. Only 200 spots available! www.thegrowthsyndicate.com/conference
Working at @buffer.com doesn’t automatically make me a content creation expert. In reality, I’m still finding my groove: experimenting with new tools, discovering my authentic voice, and figuring out what kind of content truly connects with people.
We reached an incredible milestone together during our recent retreat and had the chance to celebrate in person. 🤩
Wow, what a week! It's very rare to spend time in person together as a remote company, but once per year, we carve out that time so that we can develop deeper connections to our goals and each other. There are 3 "sessions" that make a Buffer retreat quite unique ⬇️
Over the last 4 months, I've really focused on creating more consistency with my posting habits. → My impressions have increased by 434.2% → My reach has increased by 531.1% → I've gained nearly 250 new followers You don't have to be a "thought leader" to have an impact. You just need to start.
The most underrated quality that you can have as a Product Manager is being resourceful.
⭐️ Today marks my 5 year anniversary at @Buffer.com ⭐️ This is also my longest tenure at a company. Usually after about 3 years, I would start to look for my next opportunity. So why have I decided to stay? For me, it's a mix of Product, Personal Growth and People.
One of my goals for 2025 was to create more content for myself, particularly around building in public and some of the projects I've been working on at @Buffer.com Last week, we launched streaks and it's been so helpful to keep me accountable to my goals!
As a Product Manager, it's really easy to associate success with big launches. However, last year, I was reminded that sometimes the smaller, more iterative changes can also have a big impact to your product's adoption and retention.
Spoiler alert: we're rebuilding our public-facing API at @buffer.com As the PM responsible for this work, I've spent a lot of time digging into best practices, and I've learned that developing a high-quality API involves adhering to a few core principles. These include ⬇️🧵
For @buffer.com's December All Hands, I presented about our growth on Bluesky. Our daily Bluesky connections (by unique users) have increased by 528% 🤯 I'm deep in 2025 planning and I'm excited to focus more on Bluesky features in the coming months! Keep sending your suggestions my way 🙏
Really excited to have video / gif support out! Our users on Bluesky were pretty vocal about this being a must-have feature, so we worked quickly to get this out as soon as we could! A big thank you to @arekpanek.com (our lead engineer on this project) 💙
Bluesky video scheduling is here! 🎉 ➡️ Schedule videos up to 60 seconds long ➡️ Up to 50mb in size ➡️ mp4 and mov file types ➡️ Cross-post to all your favorite platforms Bonus: you can now schedule GIFs too!
Over the last few days, we've seen a bunch of new people join Bluesky and also connect their accounts to @buffer.com As the Product Manager for the Bluesky <> Buffer integration, I would love to hear more about how we can improve this experience for you. Feel free to comment below or send me a DM!
We launched our scholarships today! If you identify as a woman or non-binary person, and you're looking to enter or grow in the tech industry, we have some funding available to help you on your journey. It's open to all regions but are prioritizing the NL / EU. https://www.shesharp.co/scholarship
Today, we've added @bsky.app to @buffer.com! We feel very philosophically aligned with Bluesky. We share a belief that individuals should maintain ownership over content, the connection to their audience, and control over the algorithm and experience. Learn more and get started: buffer.com/bluesky

Bluesky brings a new era of decentralized social media, focused on ownership and control. It is also contributing to a resurgence of the open web with social media protocols. Adding Bluesky to Buffer is personally very meaningful for me. I put together a deeper reflection here: joel.is/bluesky/
