Dispatch is an addition to the supervillain redemption subgenre that I am still unsure of. Not enough weight is given to 80% of these characters to have any sort of empathy towards them. Whedonesque quips also dragging down and undercutting potential cathartic moments
Dispatch's main issue is that it suffers from "We can swear and make sex jokes so lets do that all the time" that plagues RPG podcasts...oh look it was produced by Critical Role
