In the 2016 Presidential Election primary, Bernie Sanders at one point declared that Hillary Clinton was "unqualified" to be President. Clinton of course went on to win the Democratic Party nomination but lose the general election.
Part of the American population will be willing to resort to violence if future elections don't go their way and if they think violence might succeed; the January 6 insurrection proved this. They will be less likely to succeed - and there will be fewer of them - if we prepare for them.
