My kids got me some beautiful birthday gifts - a lovely blue orchid, and a gorgeous selenite crystal. We also got dinner from Culver’s because I love their strawberry salad. We also had a variety cheesecake as my birthday cake.

When I came to the hospital on Friday the 17th, they told me that I would have the surgery that afternoon, spend the night in the hospital, and be able to go home the next day. But that didn’t happen for a variety of reasons that I don’t have enough characters here to explain. But I am free now!
Surgery is over. Family was here all day long, so they are exhausted, just left. The ankle replacement implant that they put in in April became contaminated from the open wound that I’ve had since May, so they had to remove all of it. I have a wound vac. I am tired, disappointed, and in pain.
I am checked in at the hospital, sitting in the waiting room now. Sending hugs and love to all of you.
I had ankle replacement done on 4/22/26. A month later, they started to cut the sutures from the incision on top of my foot, &, the skin started to separate. The skin separation split open 3 inches and never came back together. It's been an open would ever since. Repair surgery is Friday, July 17.
