Heartbroken. He was a sweet guy. I opened for The Frames in 2002 at the 400 Bar for their first MN show. Kept up with him for several years through the triumph of Once, and last saw him at the Winnipeg Folk Fest about 15 years back and he remembered me and was so kind. Huge loss.

Our beloved neighborhood cafe & music venue Pillar Forum has been shut down by the City for fire code violations. They were working on the problem but the City decided they can’t host music anymore. Pillar was there for us every day during the Surge. Chip in a couple bucks so they can pay staff.
