Playa del Inglés 1987. Optisch hat sich nicht sehr viel verändert. Playa del Inglés, 1987. Visually, not much has changed — apart from the names and typefaces used in outdoor advertising. The coin‑operated public weighing scales from back then are no longer seen in the cityscape. #GranCanaria

Amy, unsere Nachbarskatze. Seit Jahren begrüßt sie uns freudig, wenn wir an ihrem Haus vorbeigehen. Unsere Nachbarn kennen wir dagegen nicht. Amy, our neighborhood cat. For years she has greeted us joyfully whenever we walk past her house. Our neighbors, on the other hand, we don’t know at all.

Ein Pelikan, 1995 in Key West – einer unserer schönsten Urlaube. Heute leider nur noch eine Erinnerung an ein Land, das es so nicht mehr gibt. A pelican in Key West in 1995 – one of our most beautiful holidays. Today, sadly, only a memory of a country that no longer exists in that form. #KeyWest

Manchmal frage ich mich, warum es „KI“ heißt, wenn sie völlig intelligenzlos ist. Mit keinerlei „Intelligenz“ wurde das Foto kaputtgezaubert. Sometimes I wonder why it's called “AI” when it's completely devoid of intelligence. With no “intelligence” at all, the photo has been magically ruined. #AI

Wenn es spannend wird, hab ich die Kamera gerade nicht dabei. Wenigstens das Handy. Die beiden hier sind keine Freunde – aber sie lassen sich in Ruhe. When things get exciting, I never have my camera with me — at least I had my phone. These two aren’t friends, but they leave each other in peace.

Viele Jahre steht er unscheinbar und stachelig auf der Fensterbank. Bis er eines Tages plötzlich erblüht und uns fast der Sinne berauscht: der Kaktus. For many years he stands on the windowsill, unassuming and prickly. Until one day he suddenly blooms and almost overwhelms our senses: the cactus.

„Schatzsuche“ in Playa del Inglés – Metalldetektoren finden Ringe, Ketten usw. Vermutlich nicht ganz legal, das Gefundene privat zu behalten. “Treasure hunting” in Playa del Inglés – metal detectors find rings, chains, and more. Probably not entirely legal to keep the finds for yourself.
