The award goes to Queen Ozma! Most child monarchs don't end up being too healthy mentally (turns out doing all that politics is difficult even for adults to grasp ethically), and doing that on top of figuring out gender identity and shortly after escaping from an abusive mother... yeah. 1/3

Tales from the MFS is meant to be like a sitcom — there is no end until we're all way too sick of it, and there's not really a definitive thing they're working towards. I sort of hope the epilogue for all the characters is them getting out of the bloody MFS for good, but who knows

While reading great books is a healthy thing to do as a writer, I also advise keeping a few bog-standard thrillers around to consult if you ever have a “Do I even know how to write literally anything?“ kind of crisis

"Conflict" might be a strong word, but Jenny and Peter get into a few comedic back-and-forths here and there because, well, Peter's not very bright hard to correct, but in a way that's not belligerent or malicious. That's probably why these, upon reflection, endear him to her more than anything.
