A video game backlog tracker that only tracks is half a tool. Discover is the other half: what's trending, what's just out, and what people actually thought once they played it. The new Discover page is live now! materium.gg

Screenshot of Materium's Discover page in dark mode. A left sidebar lists Home, My Library (946 games), Discover, Releases, Journal, and Stats. The main area has a search bar reading "Search games to add, rate, or wishlist," below it an Editor's Spotlight card for Bloodborne (FromSoftware, 2015, RPG and Adventure) with a short written blurb and buttons marked "In your library" and "View details." Underneath, a "Trending this week" row shows five ranked game covers: Hollow Knight Silksong, Forza Horizon 6, Palworld, Scrap Mechanic, and 007 First Light, each with a studio, year, and rating. A "Fresh reviews" section begins at the bottom with Stardew Valley and Super Mario Maker 2.

Want to keep up with the latest video game releases? Materium's release calendar is here to help! Quickly view all upcoming games, filtered by the amount of buzz they're getting. Or, filter to just games in your library, to see what's coming up from your wishlist. Sign up for free: materium.gg

One of my favorite features in Materium: Tonight's Pick It consistently lifts gems from my backlog every time I open the app. Does it remind me that I don't have enough time to play all the games I want to play? Yes. Does it give me just a little shred of hope every time I see it? Also yes.

A screenshot of the Tonight's Pick card from the Materium home dashboard showing Persona 3 Reload as this user's pick. The cover art for the title is visible on the left, featuring the protagonist and their Persona. On the right, the title Persona 3 Reload is shown in large letters, followed by P Studio • 2024 • Role-playing (RPG). Badges show that the pick was due to the title being highly rated and high priority in the user's backlog. At the bottom of the card, a green button labeled Start playing calls the user to take action, while a View game button invites curiosity.
