Epimutations in plants are my favorite subject 🧬 2nd year PhD student in the PEpiTE lab in @ibensens.bsky.social , Paris She/her

If you're a biologist, especially one in a field that has a history of eugenics and racism (which absolutely includes my own field of evolutionary biology) and you choose to remain "neutral" as race science once again crawls out from under its rock, you are not in fact neutral.

I had the great opportunity to present a part of my PhD work for the first time at a conference! I am thankful to the @epiplant.bsky.social community for the insights and to the committee for the opportunity.

Next is @mathildereignier.bsky.social, PhD student with @pierrebaduel.bsky.social @ibensens.bsky.social sharing impressive data on how mutating chromatin remodeler DDM1 in different Arabidopsis strains reveals transgenerational epigenetic inheritance of flowering time. #EpiPlant
