I've always had mixed feelings about land acknowledgments. I appreciate what they're trying to do, but they always come across as a feel-good (for the giver) performative act without any meaningful follow-up. This feels similar. I also recognize I'm a white man. Thoughts? What am i missing?

Exploring the math of an hybrid vs plug-in hybrid with a random RAV4 trim. A plug-in can go ~50miles on a charge then switches to gas & gets basically ~ same MPG once on gas. Given traveling 50 miles costs ~$7 for gas or ~$3 (home charge) & a Hybrid is ~$6k less, what's the break even point?
