16GB barely edges out 8GB here, which I find a little surprising. This might be a consequence of gamers becoming more convinced that 8GB isn't enough, and 16GB is a configuration available on most AMD GPUs and the "midrange" of RTX 40 and 50. Would've been nice to see more 12GB options.

Now that we've heard more about the whole deal with Situational Awareness's former positions and Citadel buying them out, I wonder how much of today's and yesterday's movements had to do with that. The entire trading day was remarkably stable with big tech.
Well it looks like degenerate gamblers are doubling down this morning, Nebius is up 30%, CoreWeave and SanDisk are up 20%, and other stocks are up by high percentages as well. It'll be interesting to see if this lasts the entire trading day.
And the S&P500 and NASDAQ close at around 1.5% and 2% down respectively. Nebius, Cerebras, Micron, CoreWeave, and SoftBank are some of the top losers at ~10% each, give or take a percentage point. People just ran for the exits in the afternoon.
Wild roller coaster to end the day. Really seemed like for a moment there that the indexes would be flat or even slightly up. Both the S&P500 and NASDAQ are back to where they were in April-May. I doubt the slide stops here.
Another tech meltdown today. We're approaching the point where lots of stocks, like Nebius and SoftBank, have declined by about half since their peaks in the past month or two. This slide definitely feels different than the previous ones.

Also gotta say, pretty funny that my portfolio is beating the shit out of the S&P500 and NASDAQ just because I've avoided big tech stocks. I'm up half a percent just today so far and all I did was pick random S&P500 stocks plus some bonds ETFs.
It is crazy to see companies like Dell down over 10% this morning, but keep in mind what it looks like compared to the past five years. We have a long way to go if this is truly a bubble, and the decline for AI stocks will probably take months and not just a day or two.
Another tech market meltdown to start the day off. It kind of looks like we may be in the middle of the bubble popping/deflating but I have a feeling there could be one final rally before the slide truly takes off.

Yep, we're in a boring dystopia. No flying cars, no water wars, no free energy, not even evil AIs trying to take over the world. If ChatGPT is the singularity, we're just living in the most boring dystopia possible. www.businessinsider.com/sam-altman-o...

Turned on device isolation for my C5, hopefully the issue isn't so bad that it has to be completely neutered from any network at all. I can't imagine what Steve has discovered here.
Personally, if I owned an LG device with internet functionality, I would not connect it to any network. That's just my opinion/feeling on it after looking at some of this. We'll talk about why soon.
I told a family friend who bought in at the start just a couple days ago that he should probably get out and not hope for recovery specifically because the supply increasing would drag the stock down. I hope he takes my advice if he hasn't already.

Korea saw the Nortel Index and wanted that for themselves. Insane levels of concentration.
Fun fact! Two companies - Samsung and SK Hynix - make up 58% of the entire value of the Korean stock market. The reason their stocks are inflated are almost entirely because of AI data center capex. Retail investors are the largest buyers of Korean stocks this year. Anyway the fact isn’t that fun
