Last night I discovered that NFL head coaches meet annually in late winter. I knew GMs and owners met but didn't know coaches were part of it. There are even group photos each year. I know someone who might need to consider writing a story inspired by but "not about" this annual meeting.

In everyday life if I don't trust someone, I can't be friends with them and certainly can't be in a relationship with them. So it's weird when a lame duck politician says "I distrust you but I'm going to vote yes in favor of you." Dude. You lost your primary. You don't have to be a toady anymore.

It's the most wonderful time of the year. We're in the middle of both Hot Manager and Hot Ump Season and last night a bear poked his head out from his cave and yawned. It's the earliest sign. Hot Referee Season is right around the corner!

This evening (one of) my pretend husband(s) is going to be on TV. I'm afraid my attention will be diverted for roughly three hours beginning at that time.

As I think I've said in a previous post, I don't have a big problem with tarps off in the MLB. To each his own as long as it doesn't turn ugly. But I wish the crowd at each ballpark would come up with something original. On TV I could watch 15 different games and the chants are all the same...1/3
