Some nice moths last night in Stroud, about 130 of 40..still there this morning were NFGs Grey Chi and Varied Coronet. 6 Tree-lichen Beauties (record), Scorched Wing, a very fresh Light Emerald and … 🎺 🎶🎵 Spiny Norman is back 🤭 Comments welcome 😉 #teammoth
Half the numbers but still, 30 spp. Least Yellow U/wing and Tawny-speckled Pug the NFYs Rusty-dot Pearl and Vestal again, never had so many & 5 Jerseys was a record number for me. I’m old enough to remember when 1 in the trap was very exciting. Now I’m seeing them every day, everywhere! #teammoth

Just the one new-for-year today out of about 108:46 in the garden Ruby Tiger NFY Broad-barred White,September Thorn Mint Moth, Hawthorn Knot-horn and Jersey all very regular here now #teammoth
Last night of trapping in Dorset produced some new ones for us, Brussels Lace, Small Wainscot, & Barred Hook-tip… a few migrants, 3 Vestal, 4 SMW and gawd knows how many Rush Veneer. It’s been a great week here and I’m sorry to have to leave… #teammoth
Just the little LED trap last night so no biggies. Scalloped Hook-tip new for me. A Rusty-dot Pearl again and Small Rivulet is NFY as is Cloaked Minor. Mocha was my third this year I think. #teammoth

Considering I forgot the baffles last night, the trap, sheet and surroundings had the highest count of moff so far this year but only a few NFY favourite macros…& the Maiden’s Blush had spots for a change. #teammoth
