So I'm digging deeper into Descent in terms of writing and I have a few things folks might find interesting as I plot out scene-by-scene and discover reoccurring themes that are popping up as I go and... "Cannibalism" (or "Hunger") and "Queerness" have naturally floated to the surface. Oh boy.
Bluesky please don’t crunch this image… As I said before, been working on writing for “Descent” #jayvik ! The general beats, the bricks are in place. Carefully moving through it. If anyone is at all curious how my brain works with writing, this a peek into that.
I've finally done it. Descent #Jayvik but biblically accurate to Arcane style - or as accurate as I can get!
Jayce in early descent gets flare ups with his leg, it’s getting irritated, isn’t getting better but he doesn’t know how to tell Viktor. He CAN’T tell Viktor, everything is already so bad, so challenging, he can’t fathom becoming another ‘problem’ on the heap. Don’t speak to me…..
some Descent.... concepts. The kissing was purely indulgent (and non-canon to Descent thus far; I MUST stay focused as much as I want them to smooch), but I'm trying to figure out how Viktor "glows" when he touches or is touched. hell yeah my favorite glow bug #Jayvik

Sorry for the radio silence! Descent is still on the brain, but new job and school starting soon has been rocking my shit - once my schedule is stable I hope to get back into it…. Been thinking about the inevitable reunion and kicking my feet
Viktor half transformed concept for Descent #jayvik ... Post-divorce fight mode. I almost want to make him more bug mode. We'll see. His body will be very bug mode though!
Some more Jayce outfits for Descent #jayvik. Bundling up for the chilly climate of Mount Targon! Viktor is next. Outfit 1 is for the immediate start of Descent, Outfit 2 is during the first steps of their travels and pre-fight. Outfit 3 will be divorce fits LOL

I lovingly describe Descent as “Javik getting the Dark Souls experience”. Yes, everything is going wrong AND you’re fighting for your life but it’s also perfectly normal at this point. The only thing that can hurt you anymore is Emotions (and it proceeds to do that too)
Subtle revisits of Viktor's Descent design. - Longer hair - Red inner side of scarf - Body is entirely augmented aside from chest (where Jayce had shot through him)
A surprise bit of Descent #Jayvik for y'all today, wasn't supposed to do anything today but had a burst of motivation and rocked these next few shots together. Music and a voice line added... (I will continue to apologize for any audio normalizing that sounds funky, Bluesky is ruining my audio)
Oh well holy shit thanks y’all for 200 followers! Still very unfamiliar with how to engage with social media, as someone who hasn’t done anything other than lurk on socials for about 5+ years - but I will continue to churn out more Descent and occasionally share other works.

Did I overdo what was supposed to be storyboards for the opening shot? Yes. Do I regret it? eh, a little More expansion on the first scene of Descent #jayvik! Before I get into the boys eating shit because they just got spit out of the Arcane going Mach Jesus

WIP of the cuddle, it is a Descent day... Very proud of how Jayce's face turned out, so soft when sleeping. Also, the wild rune markings do go around his chest to his back (where he got chainsawed) #Jayvik

Today was supposed to be an off day for Descent but this idea came upon me and I had excess creative energy to spend. so here you go #jayvik
Descent notes for self: - Viktor does not come back to the material plane whole. He’s in there, but he’s also still deeply impacted by the humanity he left behind - he’s a husk in the beginning - Jayce does everything he can to see that light in his eyes once more - must rediscover parts of himself
- Jayce, during the events of Descent, wants to return to Piltover. Ever eager to make things right - Viktor, on the other hand, is appalled by the idea. He can't face their inevitable scorn. It's easy for Jayce to want to go home, welcomed like a hero... But Viktor knows what waits for him there

- “Are…” he paused, thinking. “Are you okay, Viktor?” - "Considering what we have survived, Jayce, 'okay' is an ambitious assessment, don't you think?" I love writing these two, friend and I are reading them for FILTH on how they handle descending the ultimate mountain of death
