Getting Meta verification is tough. Took me two attempts; and here’s what actually matters: - Screencasts must match the documentation exactly - Don’t deploy during the review period - Give them a working test account Happy to help anyone who’s stuck on this!

I don't have warm/cold outreach experience 😞 For me, it's a lot of guesswork right now... I'm still learning: • How to find customers • What messaging gets replies • How to scale without spamming Waiting for YouTube/SEO views to kick-in takes too long. Any tips?
Damn I love this. Transform your face into different styles. Who can guess: AI or Edit?
Just made big improvements to the post previews. Looks much nicer and cleaner now! 😍
Claude is a yes-man. Don't trust him. Do this instead: Search for the council.md skill. It forces Claude to act as 5 different advisors. Answers are peer reviewed. One final verdict. Result: No more yes-man answers.
Last week I felt completely stuck. I thought I had to do everything at once: - Build the product - Do marketing - Answer support tickets It was super inefficient. This week I made a plan that aligns with my weekly goal, and I’m just executing against it. Making way more progress. 💪
I sent 40 warm DMs yesterday. What surprised me most: people reacted quite friendly. ...which can be a bit misleading. Because telling the difference between interest and friendliness is hard.
I've never seen an indie hacker with a 'building' problem... It's always distribution. ALWAYS.
Started sending cold Linkedin messages 🎉 All I'm doing now is: 1. Finding people using competing products. 2. Send connection request + personal message. 3. Engage with their content. Once they connect, they'll keep seeing my product posts.
Build in public progress: Cleaned up error handling. 😍 - Beautiful design. - Errors are easy to understand. - One-Click to edit post separately. Much better than before. 🙏
Just added a chat widget to my SaaS landing 🎉 I think being hyper-responsive helps acquire early users. - People want answers immediately. - Being available shows you care deeply. Every message sent via the widget now pings my phone.
New Goal: Get my first 10 users. I spent 5 months building to solve my own problem. All I wanted was a tool that combines: - Posting to all major social platforms - More than just one text 'caption' per platform It now looks amazing, and feels smooth. It’s time to put it in other people’s hands.
I usually post across X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads. So far I haven't used all the other integrations I've built, such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. I think I'm missing out on a lot of views that could add to my top funnel. Need to change that...
Outlook was my main design inspiration. It gets a lot of hate, but at a glance you know: - What messages you have - Where the selected one is going - What the message contains When I started building Crosspublish, I wanted it to feel familiar instantly. You can clearly see the similarity 👇
Shipped social media analytics v1 today 📣 I post daily w/ Crosspublish, but I don't know how the posts perform. The analytics feature in will reduce that friction. 🤩 📊 View analytics for each channel. 📈 Make data driven decisions. 🔍 Double down on things that work.
Shipped quote tweet support for Crosspublish today. You can now turn X URLs into quotes. After building it, I realized you can only quote post via the API if the original post mentions you. Quite annoying that quote posting is so heavily restricted.
Preparing material for the launch on @ProductHunt This will be the 6th thing that I launch on the platform, but by far the most polished. Will it pop, or will it flop? Whatever way it goes, the grind continues :)
X gives you a graph of your followers' active times. Scheduling posts into the non-active times makes no sense. So I added the most active times to the schedule.
I went though the recordings of visitors to my website. One thing that stood out: Many users click on the background because they think the overlay can be closed. I've also received this feedback from 2 other people. I was trying to avoid it, but I'm redesigning the landing page.
YouTube approved my app and all permissions!!! 🎉 It took 2 attempts 🫠 Luckily the review cycle was much shorter then Meta's. 😂 Only Pinterest, Google Business, and LinkedIn to go. Then I'll be able to support all major social networks 🥲 Keep goin'
Build in public update: - Started working on post analytics. - Redesigned the scheduled tab to make it look better. - Added green icons to show which channels are in Sync. Slow but steady progress :)
Nearly 50/50 browser vs mobile split for my followers. Although most people won't use my product on a mobile, that's where they'll get their first impression. The landing page needs to look great on mobile.
Posting across socials is unlocking new traffic sources 📈 Only a fraction of platforms live, but seeing first hits from Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest. Now the priority is getting more traffic, and converting first trial users while I wait on API permissions for YouTube and TikTok. Hurry up 🙃
Just improved the tags & color coding on calendar cards 🎉 🔵: Scheduled 🟢: Published successfully 🟡: Scheduled & needs attention 🔴: Something failed to publish The aesthetic is inspired by the MacOS calendar.
I don't want to 'spend more time' marketing 🫠 I want the same results in half the time. That's why I send every post to (at least) 6 social networks. You can't predict what the algo will pick up, but you can increase your surface area of luck.
Catching bugs is a big advantage of using my product daily. If I were solving someone else's problem, I I wouldn't be using my product half as much. Are you building to solve your own problem or someone else's?
I'm tired of using AI slop. That's why I obsess about the design. Good design: → Signals quality instantly → Is a nice source of screenshots for X → Makes it easier to look at for a long time In a sea of AI slop, good taste makes you stand out.
My SaaS helps me market my SaaS 🎉 The result was this spike in unique users: - 5 trials - 24 unique page views - Sharp drop after I stopped posting Solving your own problem is underrated.
My marketing activities for the next 3 weeks: - Launch on Producthunt & Co. - Post 4x daily across socials. - Post into relevant subreddits. - Make more YouTube videos. - Create SEO comparison sites. - Cold DM outreach on socials. - Submit into SaaS directories. Anything I'm missing? 👇
