I think a pass may need to be done to address the patchwork of writing quality in WoW, because the dissonance between things has become pretty marked. No one deserves to be fired, this is a pipeline issue, it feels like the writers aren't being allowed to talk to each other.

The largest influence when I write an OC is usually seeing art that triggers a desire to create something in that same niche, even somewhat. Sometimes it's even art I'm seeing for a second or third time after a while that sends me down the rabbit hole again.

This one is for the writer! Has anyone influenced the way you create your original characters? Was it a positive or negative influence? #OCASK #OCQOTD #OCSKY

Be on the lookout for my next book, "Val: Why Is That Mob Still Chasing Me, and Other Mysteries". It's the sequel to "Val: How Did I Even Aggro That?" and the prequel to the eagerly anticipated "Val: How Much HP Does This Random Mob Have?!"

In retrospect it's kind of weird how we got mount versions of almost every vehicle/riding animal in TWW except the little Arathi airships. We got several lynxes (though not nearly every variant), but the flight path airships were a no go despite being pretty simple in design.

Based on the ethereal mobs on Naigtal, I have concluded that what actually happened to K'aresh was Dimensius entered the standard K'areshi aggro range (roughly 50 light years) and they mobbed him en mass until he lost his temper.

So much pro-AI stuff feels ideologically motivated instead of logical, especially in creative industries. "Look, see? We used AI here and it worked out and saved time!!" and it's something that would have taken maybe ten minutes to do normally.

"Then, instead of making Anima warbound transferable by itself, we made it so they can only transfer it in increments of 1000, and made THAT item warbound. Funniest shit I've ever seen." - Blizzard, probably.

Blizzard decided to give us the Warden xmog they did, while also keeping the toy that turns you into a more accurate version of a Warden a 20 minute duration on a 2 hour CD. I seriously do not get why they sprint away from iconic, recognizable Warcraft things in favour of worse replacements.

Very nice of Blizzard to create a tier set for 12.1 that drags me kicking and screaming back to nelf druid just as I was dipping my toes into Haranir druid. Very cool of them.

I think if they wanted Midnight to focus on Paladins versus Void, they really should have had Xal fucking with the various Paladin groups prior to the xpac. Scourge vs. Paladins is such an iconic match up that you forget the Scourge weren't their original enemies, because of how visceral it got.

It's so funny to me that Island Expeditions were used as a 'get out of retcon free' card. Nearly every group that was said to have been wiped out shows up, so they have plausible deniability. "It's not a retcon, they were just on an island! With azerite!"

My worst nightmare is Blizz adding Blood Elf Druids and Dwarf Druids at the same time. My brain will fracture from indecision and I'll be left catatonic. Or I'll make both and agonize over time dedicated to either one.

Just give us the normal Spellbreaker glaive that's been used by NPCs for years, Blizzard. As a sword. A one-handed sword. I promise the game won't break. Pinky swear.

The change to Exile's Reach is one of the more baffling choices made recently. It was already pretty divorced from the rest of the world, and didn't do much for introduction, now it just flat out doesn't make any sense.

The Amani using blunderbusses is so funny to me. Because you just /know/ that some hapless Farstriders got the scare of their lives the first time their arrow volleys were answered by what must have amounted to cannon fire.

I think I can confidently say that, so far, Zul'aman is my favourite Midnight zone in terms of environment design. All of the zones are gorgeous, but the atmosphere of it in particular is just immaculate. Especially around Nalorakk's Prowl.
