Our new health and wellness center W&L U is going up fast.
It’s Official! AALS Annual Meeting begins in two days. The theme is “Courage in Action.” I look forward to seeing everyone soon.
Piedmont looks like a dog, and he’s not quite 1. Definitely still plays like a pup.
Cold but sunny day for a walk on our beautiful W&L campus, especially nice because I just finished grading exams.
Grading papers. Helps to have assistants. Two currently helping.
Very pleased to see this project come to fruition to celebrate 125 years of AALS with so much growth and good done along the way. Judy Areen gets huge props (as always) for guiding this project from start to completion.
Piedmont’s first Thanksgiving. Wishing everyone who celebrates much happiness.
The Supreme Court has denied cert in U.S. v. Hay, the 10th Circuit's pole camera surveillance case. No surprise; the split is lopsided, and the Court denies almost everything in 4A law these days. But it's an important issue, and a future circuit ruling the other way may change things cert-wise.

Nature is healing. As we inch toward a break for most folks across the country, I wish for everyone time to rest, reflect, and experience gratitude.
W&L is on holiday break until Monday, December 2. It’s a great time to double down on our commitment to wellness. Join me.
Enjoyed moderating this AALS panel of incredible experts, Dean Angela Onwuachi-Willig (BU) and Brian Leiter (Chicago), to discuss Law Faculty study conducted by AALS and NORC. It was recorded if you missed it.
I’m in DC today for my last regular AALS meeting as Prez. Then, it’s San Fran in January for the Annual Meeting to wrap up my service in this role. Hope to see many of you there.
